I got the usual season ticket renewal letter in the post on Saturday, in which it said

" ..... if you would like to continue to pay by regular direct debit please complete the enclosed direct debit mandate form and return it to the ticket office ....... "

But, this club seems incapable of getting direct debits sorted, because the letter contained NO such direct debit mandate at all - just a flyer about getting 20% off the on-line purchases at the club shop, and a message from Tony and Dick about Albion in the Community.

You'd have thought that after cocking up the wording required on the direct debit form last year and invalidating most peoples applications, the club would have actually made sure this time that forms were actually included in the mailing they sent out ......

Mine says "As you pay by direct debit you do not need to take any action at all"

Anyone else not revceived theirs yet? Presume they all went out at the same time.

Just for the record I paid for my season ticket in full in one payment last January, although I had originally intended to pay by DD and fell foul of the incorrect wording cock-up. I would prefer to pay by monthly DD this time round.

Sounds like the club have sent out different mailings for different current payment methods.

There is NO direct debit mandate form on the reverse side of the letter, it just drones on and on about how the current travel voucher scheme is being mis-used / abused and tries to justify the new £ 30 ' surcharge '. And tries to encourage me to pay for my new season ticket in full by paying on-line, which I don't want to do.

I think they cocked up on the Direct Debit form front but instead of coming on here to have a moan I emailed the ticket office on Friday afternoon, got a response within 5 minutes and the DD form arrived on Saturday morning.

Agreed - and I thought exactly the same about Brown as soon as I received mine and found no DD mandate.

Does anyone really think that the Managing Director of an organisation as big as the Albion actually drafts the letters that go to customers and then personally sorts them into piles, so that each customer gets the correct version of the letter?

Its probably the same person that sorts the pies into the boxes.

No, but his signature was on the bottom and he has 'previous'. The main point was that I did receive the correct version (and so it seems did just about everyone), but it was incomplete. That's fine if you don't want to change your payment method but a glaring omission if you do.

Isn't it more that the Albion have a long history of semi-amusing and/or bloody frustrating schoolboy mistakes and it's now believed to be the time to try and be professional 100% of the time, instead of the "80% will do" approach that we've long been used to?

And that's down to the managing director to check every single one going out, and not down to, say... the mailing house?

I look forward to more of the same, whoever the managing director / chief executive is.

I under stood like others that you do not need to do any thing unless you want to pay in full then you need to by the first of May or those who did pay in full last season and now want to pay D.D need to fill in the slip enclosed.
