This.
Up there with Burnley and definitely the loudest the Amex has been (of the games I've been to, so not Donny, Gillingham or Spurs, and only 1 of them is likely to have had a great atmosphere - possibly Spurs?).
Burnley was a resilient and protesting atmosphere, whereas Leeds was just pure excitement and both sets of fans were very loud!

Up there with BURNLEY?

Burnley's support was piss poor, and one of the worst this season in terms of numbers and noise. Not surprising as it was before Christmas but still.

Our support was great which is clearly what he meant.

Wait, where did I say Burnley's support was good? It was shit.
I meant the atmosphere in general was brilliant for both games, but for the Leeds match, both sets of supporters happened to be in fine voice.

I don't even know if I will be going, probably not, doing something more productive.

They have had an expensive few weeks with the Carling Cup Final and all so I guess the reality of a mid week fixture a few hundred miles away has put a few off.

The recent trip to the Carling Cup Final is undoubtedly the main reason for what will be a lower than usual turn-out from our lot. Games at Wembley are ridiculously expensive. The cheapest tickets for the final were £40, while the majority were in the £72 price range. Mine was £90. Add on the price of travel to London, tubes, hotels, refreshments, etc, and it can prove to be a very expensive experience, particularly if you are also paying for family members.

There are other factors, though. For instance, we have Bristol City away on Saturday and our recent form has been dire (apart from Wembley). If the game was on a Saturday, no doubt we would have come close to selling our allocation, but a Wednesday evening has made things too awkward for many regular travellers.

When I spoke to our ticket office on Friday morning, a little less than 400 had been sold, but I hadn't bought mine then and I know plenty of others who are going hadn't either. According to our programme, you brought 739 here on a Wednesday evening in August. I expect the number we bring to you will be similar.

Im not complaining about Cardiff not using the full allocation - means i got a ticket at short notice and now get to see what the view is like from the South stand.

If this game had been scheduled for a Saturday the away following would be 2,000+. It will be a struggle to get a crowd just over 20k.

our good friends at Palace say you did not fill your allocation for the Cup Semi at Selhurst - is this right ?

That's true. We took 2,473 in total. I'm not sure how many more we could have taken, but I know we sent some tickets back. Oddly enough, the prospect of visiting the scenic splendour of Croydon on a Tuesday evening to watch a game that was live on TV didn't appeal to many of our fans.

I run buses to most away games. I had a few spare seats for the Palace trip but the funny thing is that most of my regulars didn't bother with it, while many of those who did travel very rarely go to away games. More of the regulars went to Southampton for a midweek game a couple of weeks later than went to Palace.

Hey LB good to have you back around these parts. Is Gestede out for Weds? If so who is likely to come in?
