I went in there for the first time last night and left soon after the music started as it was not to my taste. The bar wasnt what I expectyed and only a slight improvement, with seats than drinking in the concourse. I certainly wouldnt queue up to go in there but it was ok. Borther in law says Virgo and Mayo were in there did anybody see them or is he bull.......g.

What is the general opinion of the bar as I said I thought that it was ok no more no less.

Mutts Nuts I wish you would learn to read properly. Just to break it down to your obvious level of intelligence I said it wasnt what I expected but was ok is that a complaint.

You need to go take a look at a quiet time. Take your time to work your way around the room and appreciate all the great stuff on the walls and windows. As a large scale drinking area, it is nothing special.

Decor is a bit Gatwick-ish, but it is what it is; a meeting place for fans to have a beer and a natter.

Kerry Mayo is often in there; haven't seen Adam Virgo in there.

What is the capacity of the place as there always seems to be big queues outside and i haven't been in there yet ?

Can't remember. 300?

I think the thing that's popular about Dick's before the game is it's the only bar where you can go in, come out and go back in again (queues notwithstanding). If you want a beer anywhere else, you have to go in the stadium, and can't go out again. If I go into Dick's, it's at around 6-6.15pm when the place has largely cleared out.

I could have gone in as I was at the ground very early but based on my previous two visits I didn't think it was worth going in even without a queue.
Horses for courses innit as obviously there are people prepared to wait to get in.

Are kids allowed?

No under 18's (only found out last night when a group of Wrexham were turned away after one admitted they were only 17!)

The queue to get in isn't because it's "one in one out" - they hold people outside while the bar clears, then they let another 20-30 in & so on. It's great to be able to walk in, knowing you aren't gonna hit another queue at the bar.

Didn't see any players in there last night though.

Like the idea of popping in and out so i can have a smoke. So music is played and i take it there's plenty of seats/tables around ?

No the licence does not permit under 18s. Incidentally the law of the land doesnt permit under 18s in a pub now unless they have a childrens certifiucate or serve food. You used to be able to go into a pub at 14 and drink soft drinks but not now since the new laws came out in 2003

Not sure what people want from a Bar really. It has a Bar, Chairs and Tables, Televisions, food and some interesting Albion Artwork on the wall and some nice Toilet facilities.

There are tables and chairs but not sufficient. I'd be surprised if there was seating for 50. A few people are scattered around sitting on the floor against walls.
