I think we have unearthed a Gem in JFC to play just behind CMS and I think Harley will eventually come good. Vicente is on the way back, I think we're ok in Midfield, its full back-keeper-striker we need. Although Brez had a stomer against Saints. Maybe he's improved rapidly? We might not need a Keeper.

Until the sending off on Monday we did look a bit out musceld in midfield, especially by do prado - him getting injured, and then hobbling around for 10 mins before going off was almost as significant as the sending off in changing the balance of play. No lambert and do prado certainly seemed to even up things in the size stakes. Before that we looked a bit small and lightweight to really challenge the top teams - think that's what Gus is looking for in a new midfielder. That said, can't think of too many likely to be available unless yaya toure is bored of the rain in Manchester...

IF (big if) Calderon and Painter can stay fit, I think we are strong enough at the back, although agreed we do need cover at fb and possibly improvement moving forward. We do need a new keeper though. The problem with the defence is that is it constantly being put under far to more pressure by losing possesion in midfield and not getting the ball forward quick enough, tippy tapping around with it. That's where I see the need for a creative cm. Who can hold onto the ball and make something happen instead of moving it sideways and backwards and getting caught out all the time.

Habib will be wanted by West Ham maybe after good trial there and another Champ team, plus us, think we're his level though and probably club he'd most likely start at.

CM we have alot of depth but not many stand out performers. Bringing one star in could mean we can dump a few of those OK players who all share game time. Also free up game time / bench time for JFC. He looked at garvan who was attacking, I think he wants a partner for Bridcutt, someone who's better going forward than our current crop.

Think position we are shortest of options though is RM and so Kanchelskis anyone?

Can't agree about Harley (he's had his chance) or Brez. I don't reckon he had a "stormer" the double save was brill and he has more presence than Casper but he had 3 or 4 dire moments that we got very fortunate with. He defo gets the nod over Casper for me but I reckon a keeper would be my first prioroty.
