Here
The eternal question - my heart says I never want to see us loose, ever. My head says the league is always more important and the cup, any cup, is a sideshow and potential distraction (e.g. the performance at Leicester?). My heart usually wins though.

League, thread closed.

I agree. But I strongly disagree with 'thread closed'. Are you the arbiter of public opinion? We live in a (relatively) free country and without free speech and differing opinions a forum such as this could not survive.

I am sure that many will disagree so sorry !

It seems that Liverpool are going to go all out for the CC as, it seems, they are not going to get into Europe by any conventional route.

By all means give it a fair go on the night but please God not at the expense of the League match just 48 hours later. So I truly hope that GP will field, as I am sure he will, squad, development squad and others so as not to compromise our first team for Friday against Leeds and, more importantly, against palarse thereafter.

So important that we get back on track to firstly secure Championship status and then perhaps thinking about what might one day follow.

Don't forget that Leeds play Man Utd tomorrow which is massive for them, and I doubt they'll be resting many players.

We've got a lot of strength in depth and I can really see us fielding a very competent side v Liverpool.

We cannot win the cup, but we can knock out one of the big sides. This is our Carling Cup Final.

League for me.

That's why the leeds match is even more important now especially after the leicester loss. Good Luck to PAFC for their fans united day but IMO we really do NOT want to distract Gus and the boys with Green ballons, cards etc at the Leeds match.

The focus should be Blue and White and 3 points to take us closer to the promised land.

Keep the FOCUS.

If a club is stuck in a division constantly finishing mid table then Cup,but if like us that club is gunning for promotion then League.

Not worth turning up Wednesday then. Bugger, those tickets weren't cheap.
Seriously, Who do we think we are, that we can decide which games we don't want to try too hard to win?
Saving ourselves for the champions league, obviously.

Quite right - winning is a habit - let's try to get back to it as soon as we can. It's not like the drain of the Europa League - we're only 4 games from Wembley! (OK, it's unlikely to happen, but let's go for it!)
