Seem to recall him being a bit of a face in the North Stand in the late 70's early 80's, had very long hair and I recall some urban myth about him not having it cut till Brighton won the FA Cup (almost then)

Has he made it to the Amex?

I beleive he has not been to a game for a long time and has no inclination to either and Soar is correct

Seem to remember getting into a few beer fuelled scrapes with him on a pre season tour to Holland. Dordrecht and Groningen I think, back in the late 70's?
For a couple of years afterwards we saw him at away games for a bit of beer and banter but then he seemed to disapear off the scene. Didnt know him away from the football but he was certainly a free character!

You mean this John Soar ??

He got disillusioned with the whole thing. Getting pissed and nicked generally made his mind up. He let his flat and went travelling around South America for a long time. Ironically I bumped into him on the second seafront march for the stadium. He had arrived back that day and decided to pop down. It was as if he never been away . And then whoosh , he was off again .
