Lets not mention the fact that it was an edge to where second slip would have been and he cleaned me up next ball

Is it right that Will Beer is captaining the side (as the BBC has it)? If that's so, he must be the youngest and most inexperienced captain that Sussex have ever had.

I think he captained us last year in that odd Dubai 20/20 pre-season thing

What is the point in these stupid Uni matches? Who benefits? We're in great form and should just keep playing real cricket. Not this hogwash.

I can understand playing pre-season matches against them for tradition, but at the end of May? Good practise for the B's I suppose.

It's a good chance for the youngsters to play some 3-day cricket. I know it's a bit under-valued but it's only one game and the uni sides aren't totally awful - Cambridge beat Surrey the other day.
