Thanks for the link KLF-would never have seen that interview. What a great read. The New York Yankees had The House That Babe Built-we're going to have the House That Gus Built! The transformation of BHAFC has been remarkable so far, Gus has to be, by far and away THE most influential appointment made by The Albion. Or am I GUShing?

This was the best bit for me

Gus loves Brighton and Brighton loves Gus

When he, Mrs. Gus and the young Gus' go on a perambulation through the Lanes are they preceded by a throng of NSC Virgins dancing gaily and strewing little paper cut outs of Adkins' face on the pavement for him to walk on?

(Sorry about the gratuitous S**** C**** C*** reference, it just seemed right)

More room to play football - meaning the passing game, overlapping and emphasis on dominating a position.
This is great from a managers' point of view (and of course that also included opposition managers) because it's simpler for Gus to define where we are winning or losing ground - but it will also be nice for letting players have space to work in. They'll feel like they're playing at a Wembley every home game... though there will be issues with away matches on tight pitches still.

It *could* give us an advantage at home, but not least an advantage for the supporters to view the match in a clearer way, picking out the ball at feet and with less confusion for who's got it and whether it's under our control in a mess of players from both sides.

We'll soon be looking back at Withdean like it were a "shoe box in't middle of road", and The Goldstone as a slum.
"The youth of today don't know how easy they've got it - The American Express Community Stadium at Falmer? - LUXURY"

Honestly, all those knowing Withdean, Gillingham and The Goldstone are soon going to sound like old codgers rabitting on about how rough and ready it all was!

And to recall the moment when Reinalt basically saved us from extinction - whew, the history you witnessed eh?

Excellent interview, well spotted. Now how do I erase all evidence that I visted the Daily M**l website from my computer before someone finds out?
