Jason Roberts get him in. Will score loads in the champioship.
I also wouldnt be surprised to see an unknown full back come in from spain or portugal

prize money for automatic promotion is hardly anything - about £50K I think. If you want to make money you have to go up via the play-offs and take your share of the gate money. Risky strategy!

Given Gus's Chelsea connections, would a loan move for young Italian attacker Fabio Borini be beyond the realms of possibility?

He's looked very useful at Swansea since he joined them on loan last month and scored an absolute belter of a free kick yesterday.

Simon Davies- cant get a game at Fulham and would move on, you would think.
Kevin Phillilps- wont get another deal at Birmingham or any other Prem club and would have plenty of goals in him in the championship, despite his age.
Ricardo Fuller- Only ever warms the bench at Stoke and comes on for last ten mins.
Josh McEachran-Season long loan from Chelsea.

I'd like to see him too Wookie, can see the Borini one being a possibility, but I doubt we could get Josh McEachran on loan. Chelsea used him in the Champions league a few times this year and I think they could have plans to give him first team football next season. Kevin Phillips will do a job, but I'd prefer Jason Roberts tbh. But I trust Gus to do what's right for the club.

Roberts, Earnshaw and Phillips are past their best and signing them would be as much of a gamble as relying on our existing strikeforce who deserve a crack at the championship.

Without being unrealistic, I think some of you are underestimating our attractiveness next year for players such as Mackail-Smith .

Bloom clearly wants us in the Premier League asap and yet whilst next year may be too early, I certainly think that he and Poyet would want to have a damn good go at trying for it whilst momentum is on our side. With this in mind, I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of big shock signings coming in over the summer BUT only ones who would fit Into Gus's masterplan!

Extend the contract of the current squad but release the fring players, OGH, the Argies, Smith will all go.

Need a keeper to make the spot competitive, sign Lau Lau, if we can't get Wood we will need a striker (poss two) and cover for the full backs.

It will be interesting do we sign experience or take a punt on the likes of Hoskins. The sad part is that Caskey will go out on loan to gain experience (which is no bad thing).

For LB cover take a gamble on Rhoys Wiggins, very impressed by him when we played them at Dean Court)
Maybe KLL?

One slightly more unrealistic, but one I would like, is to get Joe Lewis from Peterborough, I reckon we would be interested but would face a challenge from other clubs and he might go for a big price.

somewhere in Eastbourne
Kazenga Lua Lua (buy) and his best mate Nile Ranger on loan for the season

I thought that KLL was a free agent at the end of this season with him along with Noone they would destroy defences

Poyet wants Hoskins so thats 1 deal in the bag , the liz Hurley enquiry may prove a little more fruitfull the next time we ask , i think a bid will be made for Lualua but pardew has not really had a opportunity to see kazenga much and this one may have to wait a while . If i could persuade Poyet to take a chance on a player next season it would be Mr worst career move choice ever David Prutton excellent player in my humble opinion and 1 no doubt will be looking for a move at the seasons close.

This sounds like my thinking too. Hoskins or similar plus Harley was it or LuaLua (both if want squad depth) and then Prutton if we don't hold onto Sparrow. Jackson was mentioned for that role too I think.

Kieran Lee mentioned near start of thread would be a great shout for right back cover and can fill in elsewhere but think he's a Manchester boy through and through so don't think he'll ever move far away.
