The third national day of action (although it'll actuall be the fourth for brighton because of Tuesdays march - this is the third nationally organized and designated day) takes place on the 5th of December. Thats a Sunday folks. I'm aware of peoples opinions on this matter and they vary widely from total support to being in the anti-student protest camp.

It would be nice to see those who support our movement against cuts in general and those particularly in education.

If this isn't your cause, you don't care or you disagree then thats your view. Even if only one person from here goes, it'll be one more voice standing united.

Would you be kind enough to detail who is going to pay more and who might end up paying less?

Are you not the generation that tells us to get more active, that we don't follow politics enough and then when we do follow and take an interest and exercise our rights we're told we're wrong?

I want, and believe in there being no education cuts/FE fee rises.

I think that a rise will happen, and that students need to tighten their belts a bit inline with the rest of the nation.

I whole heartidly disagree with 9k a year, with plans in place so the very poor (and rightly so) get to go to Uni with shit loads of help, and the very rich (on the basis that they're loaded) get to go to Uni, spitting on the middle class but more importantly the upper working class (who will get hit harder than the middle class if they want to go to Uni). I could take a rise if I had to. I can't take daylight robbery.

I'm not a student but my nephew is and he won't be able to go to uni which is shame as he is quite talented, so I do feel for students now. However unfortunately I don't believe the current government is to blame. They didn't spend all the money, labour did. Perhaps the protests should be against them ever getting into power again?

Sadly the students like the work force have to suffer the pain of their foolishness.

Actually: I want a peaceful protest. Unfortunetly a little bit of violence did a little bit of good but a whole lot of bad. We don't need that violence again. Last weeks protest was peaceful in Brighton with only two arrests (afaik).

If you guys want to have a go at student protests, i'm not going to take the brunt of it.

Would you accept 200% added on to the tuition fees? I personally accept that there will be a need for a rise. But adding six grand a year from three grand is an unjust hike.

Generally speaking although the middle and UWC earn enough to get support the middle earns more than the UWC.

Therefore a rise will hit the UWC harder because they have less money.

I disagree with the "stop all cuts" message my self. It is an ideal that we can protest all we want for but realistically won't ever see. Maybe if we protest enough, wanting something extreme enough the final comprimise will suit us more.
