Brighton Ticket Update

There are around 20 Brighton tickets remaining that will be available on a first come first served basis to supporters who hold a membership or season ticket purchased before 5pm on the 4th October 2010.

The Gigg Lane ticket office will be open on Sunday 21st November from 12 noon until 2pm.

Supporters must bring either their membership or season ticket with them. If this is unavailable then photographic identification is required.

There will be no exceptions to this rule.

If any tickets remain a further announcement will be made on Sunday evening.

Bearing in mind that this was strictly one tkt per fan it is fair to say that we would of easily sold our 15%.

As I have read your forum and things have calmed down a bit it is clear that we have some common ground, and I hope to share a pint with some gulls nxt saturday.
However the board of BHAFC and Sussex Police have done everything in their power to put a downer on what should of been a celebration of fan culture.
Category C -Laughable decision-perhaps the OB want to create problems ?
Shame really.

I guess we will see by the behaviour of your/our fans next saturday whether the authorities called this fixture correctly.

I'm hoping for a good fun atmosphere, but it only takes a few idiots to spoil the day from either side.

But it'll take them about 20 mins to invade the pitch if they want to.

Hopefully this should be a lively game as they looked quite good against Rochdale coupled with our inability to hold a lead at present.

You really are a boring little wanker aren't you ? Whilst the Sussex Police may have had a hand in the restriction the club are just doing as advised, strangely enough we'd rather keep our local Police happy than a bunch of whining non entities. We all know this game will not be a sell out and in fact I'd be quite surprised if there will be six thousand there so why in your clearly small mind do you think our board would turn away several thousand pounds worth of revenue if they didn't have to ? It's comments like yours which make your club look petty and ignorant.

Was it the authorities who called the fixture a cat C? I have not paid much attention to this particular issue but someone did tell me a long time ago that clubs can easily abuse the category status for their own means. A friendly word and a wink with their local safety officer/plod or whoever and it's all sorted...and no one can challenge the plod as we all know.

Why on earth are you blaming the BHA Board? The amount of planning hoops we've had to jump through just to PLAY at Withdean would make your hair curl. (We even have to pick up all the litter in the surrounding streets). Consequently if the Committe For Public Safety (or whatever they're called, see our 'Ask The Club' section) tell us to jump then we jump. Sadly.

That is a ridiculous thing to say. FOR THE LAST TIME - the restriction was suggested by the Safety Advisory Group and backed by Sussex Police. Do you really think the Brighton Board are going to go against that? What planet are you on?

Of course the board will not go against the SAG decision. But it will be interesting to see the response to Bozza's question about who sits on SAG and specifically how much influence the Albion have in achieving a possibly favorable decision.....which they cannot possibly go against.

Not to mention the old twonk who takes us to the High Court every year, on legal aid, fighting to get us kicked out of Withdean.

Rude questions?

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd never heard of SAG until I read that response on ATC. In order to head off this 'the club are against FCUM' stuff, it would be good to understand how it works and who is involved. Then we can all move on.

Sorry mate but that smacks of half-arsed conspiracy theory twaddle. How is denying the club considerable extra revenue in their interests?
