Meantime Pale Ale 9/10 Strong start to the day with this corker.

Meantime Stout 8/10 Solid performance... things looking good now.

Bruge Zot Blonde 8/10 This is better than anyone could have expected today.

Spitfire 3/10 Sub-standard effort here. Once again a poor effort from Shephards Neame.

Bishops Finger 4/10 In danger of letting things slip badly here. Another shocker from those Kents.

Guinness 7/10 Unspectacular but steadied the ship with the usual consistency.

Kronenburg 6/10 Came in and did a sterling job on the train back when needed.

Abbots 7/10 Good finish to settle things.

All in all a good effort but room for improvement in that 1 to 2 o`clock spot.

Meantime is my current fave brewery and I am a big 'pissy supermarket lager head.'

Discovered it at the Chilli Pickle in Brighton

I'm a confessed lager head and I've been raving about the Meantime lagers and Kolshe as well. I discovered it at The Snowdrop, but they also sell it in Pub Du Vin and, a pub I really dislike, The Evening Star.

I paid a visit to The Greenwich Union last night.

In the absence of Mr Jenner's Harvey's Best, I opted for some fine products of the Duchy of Cornwall.

St Austell Brewery's Tribute and Sharp's Doom Bar - both excellent.

The seaside.
Meantime is the bestest brewery in the UK.

Discovered them at the 2003 Stockholm Beer Festival, where as a bit of a beer head I was amazed to find a British brewery that (a) I'd never heard of, and (b) were based in Charlton 300 yards from The Valley.

Hurrah for London Stout especially.

I do not care for their ales but the Helles and Kolsher are mighty fine. I'm currently investigating BrewDog 77 lager. I've got a case arriving on Wednesday.

I had several german wheatbeers in the Horimans yesterday, and they were SPLENDID.
Rounded off the evening down the local with a few Kronies, so its all good.

We were in there before the match and I have to say they`ve got some choice on that bar. The good thing is they have continental style beers as well as the home favourites. The fizzy kegged pale ale was odd though.
Even had Hophead there

High up on the South Downs.
Started at Meantime's Old Brewery cafe bar by the Royal Naval College choice of Meantime beers and German beers. Finished at the bierkeller in Borough High St where you could have Paulaner or get Hackered. Excellent beer ; magnificent football.

Took your earlier advice on pubs and went for the Pilot. Cracking Fullers in there....good call!

Snap, I had Tribute as well in the Plume of Feathers and a bloody good beer as well.
