Dear Gus - you can't hear the admiration coming from the majority of fans for the style of play you have introduced at Brighton & Hove Albion. But the following want you to know that we LOVE IT. Thank you.

[Let Gus know that the vast majority of fans love what he is doing at the club and that he should ignore the few big mouth football cavemen that bellow from the terrace. Add you support to this thread. The Club do read NSC!]

I adore the way we play football and I dread the day we go back to "the old ways" of hoofball.

Keep up the sterling work!

Plus, it gives me the high ground over friends of mine who are Stoke, Blackburn and Southampton fans. This, I like.

Yes I second that. It's refreshing to see us keep the ball on the deck and use pass and move instead of hoof and hope. In the words of a football legend Brian Clough ' If god wanted football to be played in the air he would have pit grass in the sky'

Keep up the good work Gus and ignore the idiots in the stand who quite frankly haven't got a clue.

Those few idiots know nothing about football and were the ones compaining when Elphick and ElAbd were hoofing it forward before Gus came in. They just need something to moan about.

As Gus says "If they want Brighton to change the style of play when we are at the top, they need another manager."

REMEMBER GUS - IT IS A FEW IDIOTS, EVERYONE ELSE IS VERY VERY HAPPY!!

Totally agreed. Can't stand the "route one" morons who can't understand why we are top of the league.

It was good to hear some applause for the simple passing yesterday, sounded like it was in an attempt to drown out the utter thickets who really should go and support Colchester or similar.

It's a joy to watch. It's shocking hearing 'fans' groan everytime we pass the ball sideways or backwards. Poyet has got us playing the best football in a long, long time and long may it continue. TOP WORK GUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :albion1:

I concur 100%. And stay looking cool on the touchline Gus. When we scored yesterday how f***ing cool did he look? How many fans of other clubs would love to have our FLAIR manager let alone our players?

Agreed. What frustrates me is that this has come after a summer of criticism towards the England team and the coaching methods in this country, where it has become evident that we don't train our youth players to pass the ball properly and be comfortable in possession. Our manager has tried to get us playing the right way and some fans just moan about it.

Keep up the good work Gus, we can only improve

Best football seen in years by the Albion, keep it up. Remember when we have the ball, they can't score!!

Totally agree, someone was moaning about Dicker passing the ball sideways.......which then Lua Lua struck into the goal.

Teams are coming here to frustrate, but the players were clever enough to stick to what they are taught. The opening came and we would have had all three points if it wasn't for the linesman getting involved.

Yup.

I was amused yesterday when one or two people were moaning about el abd, elphick and ankergren were passing the ball around, calling for the ball to be lumped forward, then a couple of others started sarcastically call for hoofball. Then it was launched forward, we lost possession after it went out of play and some fans started (again sarcastically) saying that's what we want to see, more of that brighton, hoofball!

I'll add my voice to the rest of you, i am loving the way we're trying to pass the ball around and keep possession. Considering the dross we've had to endure over the past 3 or 4 seasons this is a joy to behold. I never thought i'd see an Albion side so confident in their abilities that they could pass it along the back and to the keeper when there wasn't an opening and just keep the ball. I mean the same people that use to slag Elphick and El Abd for just lumping it up there are now slagging them off for keeping the ball and passing it around. I despair sometimes!

Yesterday showed that teams come to Withdean just to stifle our play, but we still break them down and get our noses in front. I guess the next lesson for the lads to learn is to then exploit that and get the crucial second goal when the opposition starts to open up and look for an equaliser. It'll come, of that i have no doubt.
