I have just seen there is an Ignore mode on NSC. I like many on here have had a few little skirmish's with other NSC members on here. However I belive that even if you vehemently disagree with someones point of view, you can still learn something from them if not how people just see things differently and what angle they are coming from. Thats why I think I would never Block someone. So

How does this work then ?

What are the reasons that would make you block someone ?

Who is on you Ignore list if you have one ?

Is there a reason why you post in pictures? it does create a certain amount of curiosity.

This is my point, you have to understand where he maybe coming from, I personally think he could be dyslexic and is asahmed therefore only posts in pictures.

I don't really get the idea of ignore lists - if a thread looks boring, I don't look at it.

There are plenty of posters on here whose views I often disagree with but it's important to hear all views

It's not about the ones you disagree with, they make NSC entertaining... I only use the ignore list for those who intentionally wind people up, e.g. By posting in capitals or being deliberately controversial.

Bang on Notters. I appreciate the very diverse spread of views on NSC and avoided Ignore for a long time. Even perenially iritating (to me) people like Withdean Wanderer have moments of real clarity. But I do have four people on the ignore list now.

- one is a stalker with just one topic of conversation but won't fess up. I'm bored of being iritated by it.
- one only writes in capitals.
- one has nothing to say other than self-promotion and "look at me" posts.
- one is an abusive CPFC fan.

The board is far more enjoyable for me now these four bits of grit in the shoe have been removed from my day.

Makes good sense of the ignore function, and oddly enough, I reckon that the 2 on my list are two of the same you have. It does make it a better place, I never even wonder what they may have typed if I see them in a thread, goes to show just how irrelevent they are.

Ignore lists are for the small number of people with a single perspective on life, who are not afraid to share it endlessly and tediously with the rest of the world. You really don't miss anything by adding some of these people to your list.

On the rare occasion they have something vaguely worthwhile to say, someone will quote it for you in a reply. For me ignore lists are definitely not for posters you find irritating, or who like a good debate, but who you don't necessarily agree with. Clean it up too much and there will be nothing to grab your attention.

Agree with TRHK. Only Perseus is on my ignore list because his inanity is f***ing irritating.

I only ever used it for London Irish and Yorkie but I don't use it any more.

It's hard to explain now after a year or so of them not posting but, for me personally, their posting style just ruined reading NSC.
