How about having replays for 50% of the match, will they do that again.

Was anyone in a pub when it happened? What was the reaction?

The replays aren't their fault, it'll be either FIFA or the host broadcaster who supplies the pictures.

Yep seems like the director gets a bit over excited but hopefully its just teething problems and the host broadcaster sorts its self out

Typically, a load of pissed idiots blamed the pub itself. But actually, the reaction was quite good when people realised England had scored, people seemed to place that above the fact that they'd missed it.

Monty....apparently HD runs 4-6 seconds after normal TV, that is why they thought it was sabotage for betting purposes.:tantrum:.

To be honest, the odds on that entire broadcast just purely missing the England goal are so ASTRONOMICAL that its almost quite a plausible theory. It makes you wonder.

I was already pissed off with ITV when they switched to adverts immeadiately before kick off so when they cut in to live play my language turned blue and then to find I had missed the goal!!!

If they have to be allowed to broadcast "crown jewels" then they should be banned from showing adverts from 15 minutes before the game untill 15 minutes after.

15 minutes is harsh but certainly there should be no ads from anthems until half-time. Offer longer ad breaks at half-time, that should cut down on Townsend's wittering.

Unfortunately for us to watch 'free' football it has to be paid for. The companies pay top rates for those slots to enable us to watch subscription free.
