They've been looking at off loading their channels for a while.

They still have a 50% stake in UKTV (Gold, Dave etc...)

Good news for Sky HD viewers as this means the launch of Bravo HD and Living HD onto the platform.

Channel Five is also officially up for sale, of which Sky could be a potential bidder.

It's sale is interesting because I'd imagine whoever buys it will change it significantly.

I can honestly say I never ever watch that channel and couldn't even tell you any of the programmes they show.

.. actually I watched some football on there recently, probably the first time in years I watched it.

The channels Virgin1 and Virgin 1+1 will disappear quite soon. Not really sure what's on those channels programming wise but I imagine the series 'Chuck' will be now shown on Living or maybe even Sky3.

I suspect we'll see Sky1HD and Sky3D move up the EPG now and taking over the vacant spaces soon to appear in 121 and 122.

Cricket highlights ..it's the only time I've ever watched it (although the kids watch it in the morning).

My guess is that they will be rebranded to allow Sky2HD and Sky4 to appear. As for Sky1HD and Sky3D moving up the epg there are certain rules that have to be observed first , plus the fact Sky3D is too much of a niche channel at the moment.
