There has been a little bit of negativity on this baord tonight.
We have lost to a team who average 24 thousand at home and have 19 thousand STHs.
We are building a 97 million pound stadium and have a chairman who has ambition and who has appointed a young manager who had great potential.
Surely this season is about retaining our league 1 staus then building for next season.
Why are you twats anti Gus?
Why have you turned against him already?

FFS, get behind him and the team!

Totally agree. We are going in the right direction for sure. I'm still confident we will finish in the top half.

mate, dont waste your breath, they are all on a wind up or know nothing at all about football. looking at todays threads there are a few who thnk they know whats going wrong, thats fine in a opinion sort of way , but then all to predictably they round on anyone who doesnt agree with them. for what its worth i would like a grant holt sort up front, we might see one we might not its his decision and for a bit of better defending and better finishing we wouldnt even be disscussing this!

The aim at the start of the season was the playoffs. Bloom allowed big Russell to strengthen the squad.

It's simply not good enough to fall back on 'lets work on retaining our league 1 status and build for next season'

Its bloody Groundhog day.

Fans have every right to be totally fed up.

Not really. Certainly not with Poyet as he inherited a poorly-performing team and was given the objective to keep the team up this year. IMHO all this playoff talk when he joined was just to raise the sides confidence and has blinded many fans.

Who are we kidding? Norwich are a huge team at this level and won't be in it much longer. We need to take the positivies from this performance and move on. There is certainly no shame in losing this one.

Once again the players have not performed this season, one manager who was lofted up high at the end of last season has lost hes job because of them and another who imo will be one of the best managers we have had for a long time starts getting stick because of them.
Does Poyet ask the strikers to miss sitters every week ask the defenders to f*** up every week, Bloom should rip up their contracts give them a basic of £500 a week like the fans that support them, then give them a good win bouns, things will soon turn around

We lost to a team who was no threat for 80 minutes (60 of which we had a one goal lead for). We lost to a team we were beating with ten minutes remaining. We lost to a team who had been no threat to our goal.

Surely this season is about retaining our league 1 staus then building for next season.

Ignoring the fact that's been repeatedly stated for a few years now, how do we retain our league 1 status? By not cheaply throwing away leads. Not necessarily by plying well, but by converting the chances we do get and not letting lapses in defence cost us, as we have for the last few games. As we did today.

And who also happen to be the highest scorers in the entire league (top flight included).. so what they've done for 80 minutes is largely irrelevant with the firepower at their disposal.

Maybe. But every team has an off day. And their goals didn't require the sort of firepower those stats provoke thoughts of. Their first came because their player was able to walk into the box because our players stood off him, the second was because none of our defenders went for the ball. It wasn't their skill that won them the game, it was our "shoot ourselves in the foot" lapses of defensive concentration that are a trademark of our "play like that every week and we'll win" losses (along with either failing to create enough chances or failing to take the chances we do create).

I find it incredibly frustrating that our performances that should deserve more points actually don't because of these faults which have been there for the last season or two.
