Are William Hill even offering a WC market right now?

From the odds that are still available it looks as though the price has 'tumbled' already.

I registered with them this afternoon, and via the power of their search engine found a list of bets on the subject.

Willy Hills had WC prices listed on oddschecker earlier (see my earlier post).
Lads were significantly shorter even then, 7/2 London whereas WH were garden gate.

I'm not doubting that oh sage-of-the-clouds.

But right now, as I type, they seem to have withdrawn the market.

Ladbrokes are still offering the 4s, I took a bet that on today, using our magnificent call over betting system, betting without a slip, superb idea...

Yeah, my mistake, the 7/2 is with PP.
I thought betting shop employees aren't allowed to bet in there own shop anyway?

they've obviously seen the latest model output... either that or my £25 moved the market too much :p

For those that like that sort of stuff, the latest GFS output 18z is tremendous.

I took the bet, I didn't place it.

I wouldn't even dream of betting on some of the things you actually can. For example, what year will Facebook reach 1 Billion users? You can get a price on that now. Someone will go large on that one I'm sure.

Start of the downgrade to the potential cold spell? Not liking the ECM this morning, UKMO looking good as is GFS. However until we have complete support for the block around Greenland, we could just end up with high pressure over us for a few days instead! :US:

The 12z runs for the big three this evening will be crucial for our snowy prospects!

The GFS, ECM and the smaller models all seem to now agree on an easterly blast next week, whereas the UKMO model has evolved it differently, but still loads of potential for cold / snowy weather in its output.

Interesting output indeed.

There are several Ice skating rinks in Shopping Malls in MAnila

The snow that falls is actually bubbles but it looks good,

Also in Star City there is a snow world which is basically a big warehouse size room chilled to minus 18 with ice sculptures and a big ice slide..

Great fun to watch the locals experience cold for the first time.

I had to sign a waver form when I went in because I was wearing Shorts and flip flops and standard issue parker..

Sir your feet will freeze.......

papa L , any idea what the long range forecast for austria is? i keep looking and can't work it out. one minute its going to snow , the next its raining. i have'nt learned to ski in the rain yet!!???

Have a look here... if you use the sliding bar on the right, you an see (at least at the moment) that Austria is due a major snowfall at the 132-144hours range.

http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/dynamic/alps

With our possible cold snap coming from the east, and also with a med / european low pressure driving the cold air over us, I'd say the Alps will get a very heavy dump of snow early to mid next week.
