If we are to gain entry to the Championship we must sign players who are already playing or have been recently playing at this standard, picking up players who teams like Hartlepool are prepared to release is going to get us nowhere. I would expect Poyet has knowledge of the signings he wants and it should lead to a very interesting January.

To be honest we need another decent striker to play alongside Muzza next season. Big Dick , Barney and OGH dont really cut the mustard and Fozzy will soon be off to the old folks home.

I laughed at the article, Andy Monkhouse is a striker now? Despite forging a career as a left winger. Brilliant knowledge of League 1 there. Poyet worked with him at Swindon for only a month or so, because he was so unpopular there he was loaned out almost as soon as he was signed.

What's with all this 'McLard' bollocks? Here's a challenge for you-lets see a picture of you compared to McLeod. Then we'll judge whether you or he is worthy of the 'McLard' title. Fuckwits like you make me sick-taking the piss out of one of our players when you would probably struggle opening the new bottle of ketchup.

Hopefully means the end of Davies

How can you say that, Davies is not given a chance. If youve watched him in teh reserves and when he comes on, he rinses payers with pace, great in the air and nifty with the ball. I know he hasnt scored much, and that is a striker's job but that is all about confidence - weve seen that with Murray and Forster. Its like buses - once one comes, they all seem to come

Quite fond of G Dicker aren't you?

An ordinary player - exactly what we needed at the end last season, a bit of composure in the middle.

Now though, we've got some good players, we need a midfielder capable of more than simply looking comfortable on the ball, someone who can drive on, score goals and break up moves. Dicker does none of them.

Every chance he gets goes wide/over the bar.

He doesn't score for us, he couldn't score for Yeovil, he's got about 15 goals in his career - not good enough, get rid.

Pork pie land.
We don't need another striker.

If Gus says we do - then we do! Simples!

How many goals did we score on Saturday against a top team? Oh, let's go with how many shots on target then? How many goals did we let in?

The current squad is NOT good enough to get up to the Championship - or even higher over time. With or without Gus Poyet. The guy needs to be allowed to bring in his players, and not be landed with this lot brought in by washed-up Thicky and the School Teacher!

To bring-about the sort of results Tony Bloom is asking for will require a number of new faces.

Right now we have one good striker who's commitment is still questionable, and an ageing second striker, who cannot be expected to play for 90mins every week at his age. The others either need to be developed or moved on, but are not good enough right now.

In that case he is EXACTLY what we need. Cox cannot play on the left wing, as everyone knows he will always be forced to cut inside, as he cannot cross with his left foot.

That is one of the reasons most given against Cox which is rubbish as he does the same if he is playing on the right so that the ball is then on his left foot. He obviously prefers cutting in irrespective of the wing he plays on.

Having said that Monkhouse would be a great signing for us.

I love the way it's been said a load of times that he isn't a striker and some people are still thinking he's a striker.

He's a left winger, 6ft 2 so gives you some height out wide and he can run with the ball.
