Just reading this from wikipedia...

In February 1990, Gotsmanov joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a non-contract basis and scored four goals in 16 games for Albion, and in his short time at the Goldstone Ground he became something of a cult figure with the crowd. In one game he showed his class when he rounded the opposition goalkeeper and saluted to the fans in the South Stand before putting the ball in the net. Albion wanted to sign Gotsmanov permanently but could not compete with the terms offered by Southampton and the player moved to The Dell.

Don't suppose anyone's got any footage or imagery of this?

I seem to remember that Lloyd got him, then left him on the subs bench for a while. Pillock.

Loving the Saint and Greavsie act too - "well, s'a well taken own goal that"..."A-ha-a-a-a-a".

Kiddies: these "experts" made Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson's current witless perma-moaning about defending seem like Goethe's aphorisms in comparison.

He always used to do a jump and Pirouette when warming up on the touch line in front of the west stand wingers and the south stand . 16 Games but without a doubt a class act . Does lead to the question of favourite foreign Albion players and their funny ways ? Hans Kray's penguin walk in front of the goal springs to mind , any body else got any good ones ?

Oh i just lost my NSC posting Cherry
