I can't be bothered to read all these doom and gloom threads, because they're nonsense. This is the biggest false position season I have experienced so far. There is no way we will stay where we are, and I fully expect us to be in the top ten by the end of October.

Through injuries and suspensions we have yet to field a settled defence for more than a couple of games and when this comes so will the points. Murray could yet start firing and I see the rest of the team gelling. We have had a lot of games we could have won, with some luck, and it is only a matter of time before that changes. I am not worried at all.

Can I have some of what you're on, please!

Although on paper the upcoming October fixtures LOOK like ones we should pick up a few points from. 'Should' being the operative word........................

I hope you're right. We need to have a good October, because we'll struggle in November.

You are spot on, we all can sit here and be negative about everything if it makes us feel better... but let's face it, we aren't as bad as the league suggests and we don't deserve the results we've been getting lately. It won't be long until it turns around, and when it does, wham.

First season at the Withdean we ended with a 16 match unbeaten run after Micky developed and built the team throughout the first half and a few months into the second. It's happening again! Micky won the league the season after that, and I can see a REALLY strong end to this season and a brilliant campaign next. Just have patience, and respect for the work that is being done. I know it's hard, we all want success straight away but it takes time, and effort and commitment. We have the manager, we have the players and we have the time to get everything right. Calm down, ladies and gents, we're going to be brilliant.

The tables do not lie.

This one does:

Too many people clutching at straws. I haven't seen any progress since going to Worthing for a pre season friendly. Not scoring enough goals, weak defence & lack of goal scoring chances & awful discipline. It pains me to say this but we are a bottom 6 team. Bottom 4 if Forster gets an injury.

Sorry young giraffe, that is twaddle.

we play like we are, ie drawing or losing and we are where we are by right...luck has nothing to do with it

Exactly, it makes me laugh all these lickers saying we are going to do this and do that and yet again this afternoon through a lack of ability and a lack of a game plan through piss poor discipline we toss another 3 points away.

yes but we will get points in october because its a piss easy run of games, we will get f*** all in november because the are all a class above, if we are really playing well than soton and naarwich are winable but going on recent form we wont

Absolutely agree, we are going in the right direction and will gain points in October.

Totally agree. Bit worried that we need to start winning asap. Last season Colchester were in our position after ten games and finished 12th. I 'd be happy with that.

Mostly agree EXCEPT suspensions are OUR fault. We need to sort out the discipline problem. Correction - Slade needs to sort out the discipline problem. Injuries are not Slade's fault, can't wait for McNulty, Whing and Murray starting.
