Afternoon all

TV aerial's gone to the great TV repair shop in the sky. Digi-box gets none of the ITV channels. Not that I ever watch them y'understand, but I like to know they're THERE. And, yes, switching off and on has been tried, and has failed. Nature's way of telling me to get cabled up methinks. Cable is already laid outside the house.

So... anybody got anything particularly good or bad to say about Virgin? There's an NSC ad up top which I'm minded to use, though have heard vague grumbles about Virgin customer service. Oh, and if I opt for the TV/broadband/phone package, can I keep me old BT number? And is broadband speed tied to the proximity of the nearest 1930's telephone exchange?

Any and all information gratefully received.

You will not be charging me for this information.

Cheers

Worthing
I've been on Virgin for a while now (since NTL) and although it's not as 'good' as Sky or having a choice of ADSL broadband providers, I do think it's good value for money - The customer service has been a little scripted but I've rarely had to call them. In short, I'm happy with them.

One more dumb question - if you take up the Virgin Phone line @ £11 a month, do you still have to pay BT line rental charges, or does it cut BT out of the equation altogether?

Cuts BT out althogether. Been with Virgin for quite awhile, I'd say one word describes them, which is 'fine', just 'fine'.

Woohoo! Cheers. Have to say that's the one charge that always bugs me, currently make about thruppence worth of BT landline calls a quarter and still end up with a bill of about fifty quid comprising solely of landline charges & VAT. Won't be sorry to wave cheerio to all that.
