Clove oil mate, dabbed on a tissue and put on the tooth!

Tastes disgusting but lasts for several days!

Available at all good chemists!!

Cheers. If it's still bad in 2/3 days time, I'm gunna' have to try that.

I hope your tooth ache is a bit better this morning PD, I've been in pain for a couple of weeks with tooth ache, Dentist reckons I've got an infection, so gave me a load of anti-biotics. Four days later, no change, so he doubled the dosage; this still hasn't worked and I'm in feck loads of pain. It seems like dentists don't actually like to pull teeth out anymore. I'll be banging on the door of the surgery on Tuesday morning to insist it comes out....

I did find some Diclofenac last night, doubled up on the dosage, eased it a little!

The 2 tablets helped it last night , but I'm still in agony. My speech is even a little bit slurred, were it's hurting so much. Just took another 2 tablets, hopefully they do the job. Luckily I'm booked in for the Dentist next week.

(Also, are you allowed to drink with Ibrofuren tablets?)

Just looking at the info leaflet, says "may increase the risk of bleeding or ulcers in the stomach in some patients" if taken with alcohol that is, so fill your boots!!
In the old days of the 90's I used to munch on all sorts of jack n jills with alcohol n I don't seem to have turned out too bad!!

:ohmy:That doesn't sound to good. Infact that sounds rather shit.

Sod it, I'll make sure I take my last 2 tablets (at least) 2 hours before.

Cheers.

As I believe it, a lot of pain killers make the stomach bleed which with prolonged use can cause ulcers. However, I'm no doctor!! Classic case of "Kill or Cure!!":whisky::thumbsup:

. I'm just not going to take any tablets today. f*** getting a ulcer in my stomach:ohmy:.

However, I just rang my Nan up :)blush:) she said she was giving these sachets of powder when she had a tooth ache and all you do, is put them in water, and take it like mouthwash. Gurgle it around the bad tooth and it gets right into the root of the tooth.

I woke up in the night with toothache and tried what a friend of mine recommended and that is suck a soluble Aspirin. Weird and tasted very fizzy but did the trick thankfully. Hope the toothache is better PD.

This old wives tale is very bad for you.

will cause aspirin burn. worked only because it got into your system. better off disolving it and swallowing it in traditional way.

The cold beer is numbing it.

Hopefully it stays this way.

In my computer
I had prolonged tooth pain on and off for months, finally went to the dentist and found a rather large hole just above the gum line, it was the furthest back of my molars and the one I couldn't really brush properly so no suprise there that it had to come out. She gave me a round of antibiotics and scheduled the it out the next week, a day or so after which I was pain free...

I sympathise with you though - tooth pain can be a complete and utter bastard.
