Ince turns us down

Paul Ince has turned us down. The club put an offer to him, and he has declined it. Don't know if there is any going back, but a stumbling block was "staff issues".

Now, this is a guess, but if Dean White has to stay on the coaching staff, I would see him being the problem. After all who would want to work with a man who is very close to the chairman, and has survived THREE sackings! But as I say that is a guess, but the Ince turning us down bit isn't, and this is why we have offered a double the money deal to Gannon,

Dickie boys getting desperate!

How many unsubstantiated rumours can we get into one post?!

1) Ince has been offered the job
2) Ince has turned us down
3) Ince turned us down because of "staffing issues"
4) Staffing issues= Dean White
5) Jim Gannon has been offered double money

Where to start? :thud:

So there's no manager lined up Mr Burns? Can't blame Ince if they won't allow him to bring in his own staff. Why is White untouchable.

Another one that is based in the north west and is looking for abigger job than keeping us out of Division 4., I suspect that we could have offered him all the money in HSBC and he wouldn't have come to us.

And I am very glad about that because he is a poor manager a la Tony Adams (IMHO)

Edna. I'll say it again. I'm just apssing on what I'm told and hear. Its from the same source that told me Monday night(which I reported Tuesday), that Adams would be leave by Mutal Contsent if he didn't walk. And as I've said before, on Thursday he said in the press he wouldn't quit. On Friday he was sacked!

I don't care anymore. As long as whoever we get in isn't Barry Lloyd, Glen Roeder, Tony Adams or Mark McGhee i couldn't give a shit. It just needs to be sorted so that we can get on with the important job of STAYING UP!

I appreciate that, but every man and his dog on here are posting rumours that they've heard through a mate who works as a coach for the Albion. There are hundreds of coaches loosely employed by the club to coach kids, across the county, and I doubt they're all privy to the intimate workings of the boardroom. I don't mean you as such, but some of the crap that's been floating around here in recent days has almost become gospel, merely because of the number of times it's been repeated.

All I'm saying is that I am entirely fed up with the conjecture that's gone on here, none of us know what's really going on, other than what third hand gossip has suggested, so I'll just wait until something gets officially confirmed, and then cast my judgement then.

Surely, the other board members/major shareholders are getting as f**ked off with this situation as we are, someone needs to grab the bull by the horns and issue a firm deadline that we appoint a manager by. Hopefully by Friday morning

Pork pie land.

With the new players coming in to (hopefully) re-envigourate the team, I think that it is more important that we make the correct appointment than a quick one.

White is so untouchable because he is the Arse licker at the club - why has he kept his job when managers are sacked - because he tells Dick everything and doesn't give a shit who he stabs in the back in the process

That's bollocks. Ince has turned us down though. Money, location, and he wants to manage in the Championship.

When the first Ince or Gannon poll appeared on here, I, like a couple of others, predicted neither were likely to come to us. Gannon, because I couldn't see him wanting to leave play off chasing and his love affair Stockport for us, and Ince because I believe he'll want to come back into management at Championship level.

Still time to be proved wrong of course, and if either one were to come then I'd rather have Gannon any day of the week.

I'm glad to hear that - the club could do with somebody willing to win at all costs.
