No three cheers I grant you, but the game I went to on Boxing Day I was surprised, and not unimpressed by the excessive politeness and praise shown to the opposition and officials. All booing, spitting, gratuitous abuse and swearing was exclusively reserved for our own management and players.

A lesson there somewhere.
