Leg out of the bed
we could all make seagull noises

To take your theme on a step, perhaps we could take black sacks of refuse to Falmer and rip them open with our teeth and spread the contents all over the place

Mate, you deserve every insult coming your way. Indeed you've got off LIGHT. How DARE you lecture Albion fans on how to support. Pompey are playing AC fuckin Milan. They got a roof. They probably got no work in the morning.

Now go and sit in the corner - preferably in the rain - and think about the thread you posted :dunce:

Very, very funny mate!!

Do you think for one moment that Portsmouth supporters would be clapping their team if they were in the lower end of Div 1 and playing the type of football we have been served up?
Its obvious you have to earn applause, would you clap an entertainer who does`nt or clap at the end of a film that had bored you?

With all due respect, even Arsenal would generate an atmosphere under the circumstances.

FFS, it's their biggest home game EVER, they're probably about as excited as a six year old on Christmas Eve, of course there's a bloody atmosphere.

Plus the f***ing stewards don't keep telling the fans to sit down, plus the bobble hat and thermos flask brigade are all kept in one area/corner, so their cries of "sit down I can't see" are not warranted.

On the terraces!!
i must admit despit not liking pompey they ALWAYS seem to generate a pukka atmosphere.

that chump with the bells and his mate with th edrum certainly help not let it die out.

i remember watching them on tv v arsenal and losing 5-0 at home and the place was STILL rocking throughout.

Excellent camera work on Channel 5 following Inzaghi's equaliser, I must say. The sight of that many heartbroken Pompey fans after that was a pleasure to behold.

They're playing Milan in Europe you f***ing clown. We're getting beaten by rubbish like Stockport and Hartlepool.

I assure you if we were in their shoes we'd be giving similar support.

Funnily enough, we (pompey) were on the verge of relegation to league one when this constant chant of 'Alan Balls blue and white army' rang out for a full 40 minutes against stockport one tuesday night about 8 years ago.

We were going down until this singing started and we then went on a run of not letting a goal in for about 6 games!

A home game against stockport is where it all started........and it is a legendary game for this amongst pompey fans.

Even when we were 6 down at man city this season we stayed singing.

No reason withdean can't be loud...support the players and MA and they will respond on the pitch ;)

Yes, yes it was. :yahoo:

Mind you, they'll get another chance to put it right. Their fans are always boring the rest of us with details of how MASSIVE they are so I'm sure the Milan players will get another chance to savour the occasion at the home of one of the biggest football clubs on the planet in a European competition.

I'm no lover of Portsmouth but I have to say that last night v Milan was the best vocal support I've heard on a televised match (bar Besiktas) in a long, long time - took me back to the terrace days when grounds we generally more noisy - no matter how much you dislike them, for the number of people in the ground, I think any premier league club who visit would tell you they are the best 'vocally' supported club in the premiership, I can't think of a better one.
