I like a nice Phal once in a while but i prefer a mirch massala (as hot as a phal but nicer tasting spices)

Hate the morning after effects but still get it when i can!!

None fom that list.

I can handle heat in a curry like anything but I also like flavour. My favourite at the minute would have to be the Special Achari Chicken from The Naaz in Lancing.
A delicious dish cooked in a sweet tamarind sauce with garlic, onion, red & green peppers, almonds & olive oil. Served on a plate in its foil parcel with Keema Rice, and flambéed at your table.

Overall I'd say a proper Goan Vindaloo. Just the right balance of heat and flavour...

However, the single best curry I've ever had was a fantastic Mutton Dopiaza that cost around 10p and was served on a plastic plate with a couple of chapatis in a cheapie joint on Sudder Street, Calcutta, back in 1993...

I can still smell it*.

*The curry, not Calcutta.
