f*** knows. I'd ask Mr Adams to try one of those options but knowing him, he'd probably choose "remove 2000 seats" as the easy option, and play Adam Virgo in the position of "plastic seat remover" while the game is being played.

A team chasing promotion and playing attractive football might get us 7,000+ but this won't fill the away end. For that you need to playing a club with a decent away following. Unfortunately there are only about 2 or 3 of those in this division. In a nutshell, we would need to be in the Championship.

Fair point..but I was really thinking of filling our seats. I didn't include reduce prices because if the accountants on here are to believed we would go out of business.

I think ticket prices could be reavaluated, what the club lose on each ticket they would make up for by the amount of bums on seats.

As long as you get the figures right, that strategy could work well..in principle.

The problem with that strategy is that, if the results are not good, people will stop going regardless of the ticket price, so the club loses even more money than they would have done.

It is a high-risk strategy.

I suppose for me: realistic prices to match our position and the standard of football being played OR attractive, winning football with us in the top three.

Your first suggestion could see us going out of business pretty quickly - I can't see how you can base a ticket price on performance - it surely has to be based on running costs.

Your second is, of course, the ideal. Unfortunately it's also the ideal for all the other clubs too.

To be honest i don't believe there is anything that can be done all the time we are playing at the withers,at the end of the day its still a roofless
athletics stadium and noone wants to sit in the freezing cold rain every week.

I don't think that would matter if what was on display on the pitch was entertaining and exciting, we filled the Goldstone when we had a succesfull and entertaining side and over 1/4 of the ground was exposed to the elements.

I really feel we have been watching some dreadful football over the last few seasons and a return to decent football would see the crowds rise dramatically

Season tickets should go down in price, they are far too expensive. I’d say a reasonable price would be around £350. Also prices should be structured better. For example if we sell 4000 season tickets the price should be around £450, 5000 £400 and 5000+ £350. Although this seems complicated I think it would encourage more people to become season ticket holders which is any clubs bread and butter.
