If Micky Adams is the answer...

Then the question is who's going to get us relegated this year?

We left 2 Elland Road after 80 mins and we hadn't had a shot on target. On paper we have 11 decent players but as ateam they are dire.

Who's to blame?

Whatever happens Micky should be given the year.

What annoys me is if Wilkins was still in charge and making these kind of team selections and substitutions, there is absolutely no doubt that nearly everyone would be calling for him to be sacked.

I know Adams was brought back to get us out of this division but did anyone mention to him at which end we were to leave it.

I don't think Micky Adams is the answer and will prove to be one of DK's occasional blunders

Huh? So what does that mean to the price of bacon?

If anyone was in charge and making these kind of team selections and substitutions, there is absolutely no doubt that nearly everyone would be calling for them to be sacked. So? Mickey is no different, and frankly I don't see any reason why he should be. Not that I'm personally calling for that, but there's no reason why MA's any different.

Yer not many are calling for him to be sacked, nor am I. But what annoys me is if it was any other manager then nearly everyone would be.

Thats clear then.

Sorry, but this is just b*llocks. When fans call for managers to be sacked it's because they don't have confidence in the manager's ability to put things right. Inevitably that confidence is partly grounded in a manager's track record and pedigree in the game. Would Man United fans be calling for a rookie manager to be sacked given their present position? Yes, probably. Are they calling for Sir Alex to be sacked? No, because they know he's good enough to turn it around. Rightly or wrongly, I think most Brighton fans still have confidence in Mickey's ability to turn things around.

Ignoring the fact that ManU fans DID call for Ferguson's head, earlier in his time at United - and he was previously successful with a great track record.

So, that's bollocksed your post entirely, innit.

When they went 3-0 up , Russ wanted to leave but I told him that you never leave a match until the end (however bad you're playing). Muzza then scored a decent consolation goal right at the death.

Nope, I'm saying that Adams is getting some more slack, because he's managed us before and has a successful track record....with us. However, that's history.
The 'mindless masses' are the ones giving him the slack, though they shouldn't take history into the equation - otherwise they WOULD be calling for him to be sacked.

I quite understand how Adams is getting a lot more leeway here when I don't believe he should because that's history, but I'm not one calling for him to be sacked anyway.

Got that now?

I am very worried about Adams. I have always seen Adams as a manager who's success has been based on energy and building a strong team ethic. Very different from a more cerebral, tactical manager. Nothing wrong with that but I think that the energy, or his ability to generate the energy, has gone and without that there is very little else. I can't think of a situation where a manager like him has bounced back and his recent track record provides little encouragement.
I really hope I am wrong and am that I live to be deeply embarrassed by these comments but I have no faith right now.
