Steward 80 was there as he was giving someone on the track a telling off at half time. He could not arm lock 3000 fans though could he.

there was one steward on the highlights this morning who was chasing a fan on the pitch, he was ignoring everybody else running on just chasing this one fan

I went onto the running track briefly but ws barged out by a steward when 3000 were already on the pitch.

I am not advocting pitch invasions but it did make me laugh. Also why not just let it happen yesterday as soon as it was obvious it was out of their control. As long as it was good natured and did not get aggressive why still charge about trying to get people off the pitch.

Because if the club are seen to be proactivly trying to stop the invasion then we are way less likely to get fined for it.

Im not trying to stick up for him in any way but can you really report someone for walking up and down looking at the people he is paid to look at?

Our instruction upon the pitch invasion (was almost drowned out by the noise), was to protect players where necessary.
The most important part, imho, was after that, when loads of our fans thought it would be good to go down to the few dazed away fans remaining and shout at them. Since the City lot were quite a good crowd, generally cheerful and well behaved - that seemed a little unnecessary but still, we'll put that down to youth and ebullience eh?
Knowing that most stewards are in unity with the fans - in pleasure that The Albion won with style - it seems to me that the fans generally co-operated well and enjoyed the match to the full without much disruption.
The only people that get ejected I think you'll all find, will be the ones that ask for problems and can't understand normal thinking when they achieve that.
Reasonable actions get reasonable response, and that's a bit of a rule in life, mostly.

Erm f*** off maybe trigger. Professional is ensuring we didn't get hurt by trying to stop it if we were unable to.
Which you could quite clearly see we were unable to.
