Man City! Why can't the club start selling tickets now?

Assuming the pricing has been worked out, why can't the club start selling 'generic' Man City tickets to 'priority' members now?

We already know of which two dates the game is being played on, so why can't the above people buy now?

Obviously some people might be on the wrong shift, or away on the chosen date, in that case those people will have to wait until the date is finalised.

I only suggest this because it will help to take some pressure off the ticket office.

The club cannot sell tickets yet as there has not been the required number of threads on NSC about this match.

Good point. If a season ticket holder wants to apply now why cant they? I imagine this would ease the load when the date is confirmed?

What if some people could make one date but not the other? Would they accept applications to both dates then some foe just one ofthe dates then some for the other. It's a logistical NIGHTMARE.

Yes it would be a nightmare. But my suggestion allowed for that, in that people who may have a reason for one of the dates being awkward would have to wait until the date was finalised, but of course still retain the 'priority' status.

Anybody applying for a 'generic' ticket would commit themselves to either date.

Wouldn't work for everyone of course, but if a 1,000 or so applied it would ease the pressure!

maybe they need to put the dates on tickets or something?

They never used to put a date on the cup ticket that came with the season tickets.

And it's not the ticket office that are being targetted, surely? It's the general administration of the club that seems to be creaking at the moment.

you cant sell tickets for something that doesnt exist yet!

See my last post regarding the cup tickets that used to be part of the season ticket.

And, anyway, this DOES exist, as we know who we are playing, in what competition and the specific round of that competition.

I am on holiday next week in a tent in one of the most remote places in the British Isles, so won't have a clue what's announced until it's too late.

It's been a week now since we knew the match was on. Details should have been sorted by now.

.

So basically you want the club to change it's plans because YOU decided to go on holiday during the football season?

No. I'm not asking them to CHANGE any plans at all, just to make some.

I want them to make a decision in less than 10 days about how to sell tickets for a game that they are aware they have to sell every ticket in the ground for in a limited amount of time. That time is reducing rapidly and they know they have issues with ticket distribution, so maximising the time to do it should surely be their priority.

If it had been this week that I was away and the announcement for getting tickets was made, then it's just one of those things if I miss out. As you say, I chose to go away now. However, there's no reason why they can't start taking applications now, if only they'd tell us how these need to be submitted.

I suggest you post a letter to the ticket office, clearly labelled Man City Cup Tickets (Gold Member) on the outside, with your ST numbers, credit card details (or an open cheque) and an SAE. When you get home, they will be sitting on your doormat waiting for you. Simple.
