Alright Chums

Anyone know of any CRICKERT nets that can be used by the public in Brighton & Hove?

I want to practice some googlies and switch hitting, but dont want to keep having to go miles after the ball

I wrote to the sports bookings department at the council last week, but as yet no reply

Have you tried Leisure centres Brett?

We have them at work (but its not in Brighton and Hove) and there are some at Plumpton College, again not in Brighton and Hove.

used to be ones by varndean 6 form up from dorothy stringer, not sure as haven't popped up there for a while but maybe someone else has?

From experience it's a bit of a bastard trying to find nets available to play in. There's a few round mid sussex but there are games on at the weekend and colts matches in the week which make most unusable unless you're there early morning saturday or monday- friday before 6. Good luck.

They cost money. I played in them a couple of years ago for free but only because we left when they tried to make us pay.

they have gates on the front of the nets now so you have to have key to use they - means paying I guess

Just bunk up there, say your brother plays for the Albion and that hes on his way up a bit later, thats worked for me several times before when playing tennis, football or cricket up there

I know a very friendly team who mr jenkins and i used to play for who im sure wouldnt mind people going along to nets with them. i could put you in contact with someone if you wished?
