Does anybody know a bit more about the man? Fair play to him for stumping up that sort of cash, but what has he done to earn it? Is it all winnings (Wikipedia suggests that by 2007 he'd earned about £1million)? Or does his website rake it in (Google indicates that he sold Premierbet, but i might be wrong)?


Where does the cash come from? How's he got 300k loose change?

I know that he has previously bunged a few quid at paying bills during the summer. That is equally welcome.

Without wishing to sound a killjoy one would assume that he didnt actually pay all of the cash but gauranteed it, which is the usual way of doing transfers, what would happen if he lost a couple of million at poker rather than won it and was unable to meet the transfer payments.

Even if you are right, and I have no reason to assume that you are, I think the clue is in the word GUARANTEE.

A gaurantee is only as good as the person has the money to meet his obligations, what I am asking is if, and I have no reason to suspect that it will happen. he lost his money and couldnt honour the gaurantee I would assume that the burden would fall at the feet of the other directors.

I don't think you put yourself down to guarantee a loan unless you have the money, and are 100% certain of having the money at every stage at which it is required. The money will be tied up in a bank account somewhere, not in his current/gambling account!

How can I come up with yet another way to make it sound as if everything's falling apart and yet still sound reasonable at the same time?' Change the record or at least admit that you only come on here as a wind-up merchant
