"I have a degree of sympathy with the people of Falmer who do not want the ground there but the need of the many must outweigh the need of the few to protect their houseprices"

What the numpties who live in Falmer think is that with permission to build at Falmer their precious property prices will plummet. In fact the opposite is likely to happen and prices are likely to go up by more than the local trend as there are lots of Albion fans who would be quite happy living there and having a stroll to the home games. I does not appear to have affected the house price trends in Withdean in the alst 8 years does it, quite the opposite is true.

Falmer numpties , listen up Football fans have money as well. Now sell up , realise you profit and f*** OFF to the Lake District or somewhere and moan about something else. Is that clear.

oh i see, yeah I have read before that generally football grounds in an area improve prices, just the way it was worded sounded like their prices would drop if the ground wasnt built

would be well cool buying a house in Falmer

I think in most cases house prices would increase, certainly in areas like where Hull City built their ground because they are often tied in with a general regeneration of an area.

In the case of Falmer though I would imagine house prices would drop.

House prices would increase by more than the local trend you can better your last penny on that.

But surely the FURTHER 'regeneration' of an already-affluent area, with a Community Stadium offering job opportunites, would be a reason for house prices to RISE wouldn't it?

I don't know the exact house price average but I would say the main reason they would be high in Falmer would be the fact it is protrayed (albeit perhaps wrongly) as an idylic and quiet village.

A football stadium would remove this impression.

Surely Falmer is NOT an area which needs regeneration via jobs etc.
