My prediction is that The Jam are going to win this.

Objectively it should be the Beatles but there you go.

Don't mind me. I just get titsy when I see constant music threads, polls, articles that use words like 'greatest', 'best' etc then proceed to just list Rock & Pop stuff ( sometimes with the odd bit of Jazz included as a token gesture).

I should have learnt by now to just let it go, but sometimes I can't help myself, lol.

As you were. (y)

I am told you are able to start threads on stuff of your choice. You could start one of the genres you believe are missing.

You could even start your own competition.

Well, no, the view of people who were on NSC during a period of two hours Friday afternoon.

It is what it is and all that, but I didn’t even spot the nominations thread until it was closed. It was a very short window, with no forewarning!

Go on - do a FIFA, and make it 48 entrants. You know you want all the extra work and hassle! 🤣

No Spice Girls? Sake

No Coldplay, no LedZep, no Oasis, no Who.

No Dire Straits.

No Fleetwood Mac. Could cry....
Always going to be the way.

The other options I see are all not ideal - a 64 team tourney is just too long and unwieldy, another option is bands needing to be THIRDED but again that doesn’t guarantee certain bands getting in.

Just like real life footy tournaments, always a chance some big names won’t make it.

Just about the only thing this has going for it is that Coldplay aren’t in it.
