Its a really pointless gesture anyway, as president, Trump has to drive around ( If he can find it ! ) in armoured 4X4's anyway... his protection detail would never let him drive anything other than a golf buggy !

The irony is, that another billionaire who does try and do good, spending much of his vast fortune on charitable causes, gets vilified and shit made up about him…

I’m posting a link here because a/ we no longer have a thread dedicated to Israel/Gaza and more significantly b/ because it highlights very well the divide that’s now growing between Trump and Europe over foreign policy in the ME which will only get wider if the EU and UK decide to carry out sanctions/stop selling arms to Israel and recognise Palestine as a separate State.
“Netanyahu himself continues to express support for Trump's widely condemned proposal to turn Gaza into "the Riviera of the Mediterranean", by emptying it of Palestinians and turning it over to the Americans for redevelopment. I see Trump has sent in the National Guard to quell protests in LA stimulated by his immigration arrests and raids. He's praised the National Guard for restoring order - except locally the governors say that they haven't actually arrived yet, and the local forces have dealt with it.

WTF is going on?
Trumps actions have done nothing but inflame the situation over the weekend. Protests were largely peaceful before he sent in the troops - and it has just caused absolute chaos across the city. Heartbreaking to see, but makes me so F*****G mad that hes destroying everything in his path. Literally.

Without being too hyperbolic, this is the kind of thing you see in rather more troublesome corners of the world, not the streets of the USA

Cant remember which outlet I saw it on last night - but theres a video doing the rounds where an immigrant is in court at his application hearing - which was denied.
As he walks out of the courtroom, he is wrestled to the floor violently by ICE agents that were waiting for him. He was simply leaving court, hadn't even got out the building, and wasn't trying to escape etc.
Absolutely no reason for the rough handling he was taking - its absolutely shocking what is going on.
