I know we sort of done a wish list on the Sunderland thread and them and Everton clearly came top.

So, for those like me that can’t make every match what’s your wish list for next season?

….and who are you avoiding!?

Mine’s below (in order) based on new grounds, decent towns and weekend away potential.

However, here’s the good bit for me, I DON’T choose my aways, the fixture list chooses me due to my work commitments, so when they’re announced it’s fingers crossed the following aways fall on the right weekend (midweek’s occasionally work well) I’ll aim for 9/10 league and a couple in the cup.

Hoping to get lucky:
Everton
Sunderland
Forest
Man City
Bournemouth
Leeds
Newcastle
Wolves
——————
Meh:
Aston Villa
Spurs
Liverpool
Arsenal
Fulham (edit)
——————
Happy to miss out:
West Ham
Man United
Brentford
Chelsea
Burnley
Palace

What about Fulham?

There’s a fourth category:

Matches I don’t want to go to incase we start singing about qualifying for the Champions League then subsequently play shit for the next month and/or I ruin a perfectly good pair of trainers slipping arse over head in the park en route.
(Stick em on the cusp of meh/miss out)

It was certainly very wet, muddy and dark walking through that park.

Sussex but not by the sea
Sunderland is a pain in the arse to get to, even worse than Newcastle.

I'll try for all of them except:
Palace - no thanks now, not for a while, only changing my mind if we win a cup or could relegate them!!!
West Ham - I swore a couple of seasons ago that I wouldn't go back, after last season I now REALLY mean it! Everything about the place is awful.
Forest - I probably will but I'm still feeling scarred....

Would love to visit Sunderland but it’s quite a trek to undertake now that I have a baby at home. Might just do Everton, Leeds, and any London games I can snag a ticket for, possibly City too as I’ve never been.

Everton, obviously and the other two grounds that I haven't been to: Burnley and Brentford (I'll be lucky to get that, unless I go to a hell of a lot of games).

Sunderland may well be on as we can stay with my nephew in Newcastle. but I won't go to SJP - the view is shocking. I always like going to Fulham, so that could be on

That list changes like the wind by the way. Take West Ham. If it's an evening kick off, forget it I'm not interested. If it's Saturday 15.00 and at the start or end of the season in the sun? Worse ways to spend a day than a few beers around Hackney Wick.

Indeed, that’s what I mean, mines a wish list only dependent on work, I could end up with a full house from my “happy to miss out” list.
I’m sure I’ll still have a good time (pre match, anyway🤣)

Like most of us who have to pick and choose, Everton and Sunderland top of the pile, West Ham bottom of it. All others in between considered. Don't expect to get Bournemouth tickets. Might treat the lad to Burnley, the lucky chap. Had to bail out of Palace last season with a mystery illness but that's been diagnosed and dealt with now. Half of me looks forward to it and the other half thinks let the boy go with the young 'uns and I'll have a stress free afternoon (and a better view).

Actually, you've reminded me to put Liverpool below West Ham. Done it three times now and it got worse each time. Load of them in the away end, very little chance of a result and the same pubs as Everton. Train home from Everton last season consisted of a good laugh with a lot of other Brighton fans. Train home from Liverpool consisted of taking the last seats opposite a middle aged Dutch couple in brand new Liverpool shirts with the aisle (and therefore the route to the toilet) blocked by a load of southerners in red.

f*** that.

Yep

Everton journey was a breeze and a very pleasant day out all round.

Travelled up for Liverpool with hundreds of plastic scousers
Had to stand all the way back.

I fear it may be similar for the United trip next year, which I have been putting off, but feel I should do it this season.
