Talksport talking absolute shyte as per - welcoming Sunderland back to the PL and talking about the likes of us being 'insignificant clubs' and that the PL is better off with the likes of Sheff Weds (ffs - when were they last in the top division? Christ), Leeds etc rather than insignificant clubs... whilst at the same time saying you have to respect the football pyramid and the likes of us have earned our right to be there. 🤷‍♂️ it's almost like if you don't have history as a top club, you don't have history at all in these twat's eyes. Our history is just as significant as the top clubs - doesn't matter that it's at a lower level
It's almost as if they are a station where they say certain "opinions" to trigger responses and content from fans to fill up the 24/7 requirement...

I was at the game today with a Mackem friend who had some Club Wembley tickets. Great day and amazing atmosphere at the end. But the standard was so far off the level we play at. If either side had a Mitoma or Baleba standard player they’d have won the game on their own. Bellingham looks good and is very young, but he’s nowhere near even the level of Ayari yet. I’d be amazed if they stay up.

Interesting to see what happens to Jobe Bellingham now.

It was pretty heavily assumed that he would be off at the end of this season.
Surely Sunderland will move heaven and earth to keep him at the club next season.
I’d sell if I were them. He’s an average lower Premier League midfielder, whose price they could inflate to a top 6 Premier League midfielder due to his name. Sell now while his stock his high, and they could buy 3-4 first team players with the money.

Hopefully the promotion will have priced palace out of the deal

I’m looking forward to the away game. I can stay in Newcastle for the weekend, doing a day-trip to nearby Sunderland (which isn’t nearly as bad as people say). The 50000 stadium should be great (never been there). I don’t like to be nasty about northern places but I wasn’t that impressed by my trip to Sheffield last season.

A station that employs Rory Jennings and you are taking it seriously?

We stayed here in 1989, I’d imagine it’s hardly changed 😂

You do know Sunderland fans think they are one of the biggest clubs in the country.
I don't think that's fair.

They had a mini rivalry with Portsmouth over their time in the.rhird division a couple of years ago, and they were entertaining certain Pompey pricks on their RTG site who were insisting Portsmouth were a bigger club. Yes, those bell end with about 10 post war top flight seasons playing in a shoebox that barely holds 20k were talking like that, and most Sunderland fans I saw were actually being quite respectful of it.

And Sunderland have regularly or semi regularly pulled in 40k for years now - outside the top flight. That's a sign of a pretty big club IMO.

Don’t think I can cope with the media storm that’s coming!!!

“Forget the Mersey Derby, Forget the North London Derby, Forget the Old Firm, this is where it’s at……the game everyone has been waiting 8 years to see - The Tyneside/Wearside Derby” and all that sort of shite.
Along with “No disrespect to all the smaller clubs but the Premier League is looking more like it was intended with the arrival
of Leeds Utd & Sunderland”.
Absolute crock of shite we’ll have to listen to over the coming months!!
