O
The pitch is a disgrace. Looks like a day 6 pitch on day 1, puffs of dust, variable bounce and turn. Hants have looked at the number of left handers in the Sussex team and picked a used wicket so Dawson in particular can use the very worn areas outside the off stump. Throw the book at them.
If a pitch is that bad, why is it not a straight forfeit?

Isn't it cheating?

Look at the state of that strip. We're still in the fourth session of the match

This match is being played at whatever the Rose Bowl's called nowadays, and not at some random club ground near Southampton, isn't it?
Think the pitch report from the umpires will be interesting.

Dawson is getting quite a lot of turn. Which is probably better news for Sussex, with the lead approaching 50 and we've got 2 spinners.

Whoever Prest is, he's getting some low bounce in that first over of spin. Could be very tricky batting later.

Was out this morning so missed most of the play but this is a very handy stand - a lead of 100 on this pitch would be useful. There's a bit of turn and low bounce which won't make it pleasant batting on the third day (can't see this going much into the fourth). Love to see FHP get a ton, he's not got one yet

It’ll never last this partnership and we’ll fold up like a pack of cards after lunch
Yep.
Hants 100 lead by close with only a couple of wickets down.
Sussex defeat by tea on Sunday.

When you work, it's good to have something on in the background.
