Whether it’s this one or another the likelihood seems to be that we will add at least another centre back this summer. Changing of the guard moment?

24-year-old Spanish centre-back, currently with Lazio.

"Brighton has been on his trail for a month. Golden club in terms of economic potential and profits, which continues to grow in England.
On the plate they plan to put 30-35 million to convince Lotito to sell Gila. The accounts, Lazio, must make them with Real Madrid, holds 50% of the tag, half of the defender's future sale was reserved.
Lotito, in the case of an official offer, will try to keep the price as high as possible. If there were two proposals it would be better, this would allow him to play upward. In the event of a 30-35 million collection, 15-17 would enter the company's coffers, a small revenue compared to the total.
That's why the minimum goal is to get 40 million from the sale to get half of it."

Bournemouth are also interested as a Huijsen replacement.

Meanwhile the (highly unreliable) Express are hypothesising over a Chelsea bid for Joao Pedro with Tosin Adarabioyo or Levi Colwill coming the other way

He's been at Real Madrid, now playing in Olympic Stadium Rome for an Italian club with a rich pedigree.

I doubt he's sitting in Piazza Navona dreaming about playing for us or Muff.

He probably just a bit faster then Van Hecke. Everything about or signings and the players we are looking at suggests we may move to a back 5. Estupinian or Cuiabono on the left WB, Boscagli lcb, Gila/New signing at Cb, JPVH at RCB and Wimmer/Kadiaglu RWB. We also have Lewis to come in and Webster who can play across any of those three areas. Dunk in the center playing against teams who like to cross the ball in. Veltman can play the RCB also. In front you would have Baleba and Ayari, then (hopefully)Mitoma as a left sided forward, Minteh as right sided with Rutter/Gruda playing as a false 9 or Welbeck playing up front on his own.

Might well be imagining how much richer he would be though 🤔

Interesting.
Interesting, but most likely completely unfounded speculation, unfortunately. They probably plucked Colwill’s name from the fact that he has been mentioned on here.

Colwill would be a player I’d happily do a straight swap for. Although in PSR terms, Chelsea would probably want us to pay an inflated fee in return for similar for JP.

Have we been linked with any of those players other than Gila?

Cuiabono has reports (not confirmed) we have agreed terms with him (with permission from Botafogo) as we discuss transfer fees. Boscagli has been reported we have signed for free. Us and Fulham are reported to be in for Wimmer.

Colwill doesn't make any sense, not after we've just brought in Boscagli and Cashin, with Igor at the club too.

I would have been happy to see Colwill back, but Boscagli isn't coming here to be back-up to anyone, and I'm already looking forward to seeing Boscagli and his passing prowess.
