OK, a ball hasn’t been kicked yet for next season, and we are still awaiting the play off final result, plus the final match of our campaign, but who do you think will go down next year?

For me it is…

Man Utd
Burnley
Shef Utd/Sunderland

That isn’t a joke, I hope the promoted teams stay up, but my gut tells me most go down and Utd are so poor and in disarray as a club that that there could be 2-3 better teams than them, enough to send them down. Their loss was so poor on Wed, it felt like an even further fall from grace, which is AMAZING.

Oh yes - but I would absolutely love it if Leeds stayed up at Man Utd's expense. And can you imagine the Man Utd fans if that happened - they already detest Leeds for some ancient reason.

With no European game distractions, Cunha and another big spend on names, Manure will be comfortably mid table. Newcastle lucked out with that this season.

Was having a discussion in the pub yesterday afternoon with a Sunderland supporting colleague. He fully expects it to be the three that come up going down again and it's hard to not agree with that. The gulf between the prem and championship is getting bigger as each year goes by.

Is it time we mix up how relegation works and introduce relegation play offs? Something like bottom two go down automatically then the next four teams go into a play off, semi and then final....Loser goes down? Thoughts?

They played well and kept winning during his lengthy ban.

Beyond excited for next season even before this one is over; can’t see either Spurs or United getting over 50 points but think it’ll be the 3 newcomers comfortably down again.

Everton, Wolves, West Ham, Palace and Brentford (probably losing key players) will fill up the bottom half and I expect the real race will be for the European places again.

There's a part of me that is really hoping that one of the promoted 3 makes a real go of it and stays up.

But then if those three are Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield United... Flush them back down asap. Even if being Manchester based, these are three convenient away games for me.

Outside calls for relegation - Wolves without Cunha, West Ham under Potter and maybe Palace if they can't cope with Europe and lose some players/Glasner (wishful thinking?).

I think Fulham and Bournemouth will drop off next season and Everton will be much stronger. Man U and Spurs better than this disastrous season but not real contenders, especially Spurs if they're getting tonked in the CL every midweek.

Another aside - next year we will have Leeds, Wolves, West Ham and Newcastle all in the PL. We are a bogey side for all of these clubs, so hopefully that means points points points.

This season was crap. Relegation and the title was pretty much decided at Christmas.

How good would it have been seeing Man United and Spurs playing in a european final then having to come back and play to stay up?

People scoffed when the promotion play offs were introduced now they keep the season going up until the final weekend and are loved.
