Which of these do we want to win?

Or perhaps the question should be which of these dreadful teams/clubs do we want to lose the most?
It's got to be Man Utd to fail hasn't it? The damage it would do to them to not to be in Europe would be splendid. Spurs are already the worst non-relegated team and while I'd hate for them to win a trophy, there is something amusing about them ultimately winning a trophy while Arsenal didn't. (Mind you, I suppose you could say the same about Man Utd and City)

Plus it would mean Lou Carpenter sticking around for next season's debacle and I've thoroughly enjoyed him being out of his depth all season.

Don’t care as long as it goes to extra time and penalties. A long drawn out affair that’s physically and mentally draining for Spurs.
This! I can't figure out what would be better for us. I suspect the best thing would be a massive drawn out final, ET, penalties, with spurs losing with the last kick.

Spurs, because the Australian is a dead man walking anyway, United lose and there is possibility that Amorim might get the bullet which will disrupt them again this Summer

I'm just relishing the prospect - can\t wait to see what snide ref decision/call is the thing that the losing fans carp on about for ever and ever.

2 managers who are seemingly on a race to 17th place. It's a tough choice. I desperately want them both to stay for more basketcase hilarity next season.

With all the cost-cutting that's happening at United, Amorim's more likely to stay around in the event of a defeat. Balance sheet > Trophies.

The chance for Spurs to lord it over Arteta's perennial bridesmaids would be quite amusing - after years of pain, I'd be happy to grant them that wish.

So I'm going for Ange in the firm expectation that his post-match interview will be more entertaining than the quality on offer in the game itself.

Man Utd for me. I hate Spurs and seeing them parade their consolation prize on Sunday would not be appealing to me. I want to see them broken.

That said should they win it would be very funny.

basically I will laugh at whoever loses this game. 0-0 and a very long penalty shootout on its way, get ready to be entertained.

always want to see Man U lose (except against them up the road), so Spurs by default.

i struggle to understand how those two teams are in a final, feels like contest for best underachieving team of the season.

Spurs, as that gives us the best chance of a result at the weekend.
Quite, they will almost certainly be on the beach if they win. If they lose they might feel the need to finish the league strongly.

Spurs win for me against United

Got to be Spurs.

Because a DULLARD* writes today for BBC Sport regarding Manchester United:

The very idea of their entire season - and their financial prospects for next season and probably the season after - hinging on beating a desperately poor Spurs side is absolutely hilarious to me.

As an added bonus, Ange Postecoglu keeps his job keeping Spurs in the mud with the bloody Champions League to also contend with.

It is a no brainer and would be comedy gold. However, Spurs are Spursy and will definitely choke - they ALWAYS choke.

*I should mention despite being here since 2008, I don’t know Kieran, I’ve never met Kieran and we’ve barely exchanged words, but I feel my time on the forum entitles me to join in

Well, I was undecided.

But your second paragraph has swayed me. I have always disliked Manchester United immensely, and you’re right, failure in this final would do them enormous damage.

So, Spurs to win, please.

I really can't stand Man U, but possibly as a result of this (probably not as a result of this) I somehow don't know a single Man U fan who I actually have to spend any time talking to.

On the other hand, I do know at least one Spurs fan, and I can't bring myself to wish for anything that would bring him any happiness.

It's what friends are for.
