He's a young, confident and very, very talented lad who unfortunately seems to possess a rather rash temperament. I think he's got some way to go before he reaches his peak ability, which is a frightening thought. Needs the right guidance and attitude.

Swap deal for Nunez? I know he’s been crap for Liverpool but the algorithm liked him before and a change of environment may be what he needs to get his confidence back

Liverpool or Arsenal seem the most likely destinations in the prem if Pedro goes

Please no. I consider Nunez a bullet dodged. Our algorithm has had a bit of a chequered past when it comes to identifying goal scorers. Let him ply his trade elsewhere.

Anyway, it seems this may actually be a genuine case of personal reasons as opposed to a move-demanding flounce. I’d like JP here next season if we can keep him, he’s a player where it feels like there’s a LOT more to come.

I don't recognise a player who has been anything other than a hard-working team-player this season. The red and near-red could be symptoms of whatever is going on in his personal life at the moment, or frustration on the football side, or just heat of the moment incidents that he will iron out in time, we don't know, but I have felt the ire and criticism towards him this season from a section of fans strange and unwarranted. If he goes to better himself he goes, thats our model, but if he goes because people think its 'best for the Albion' that is very sad indeed
Yes. Even when Pedro has a bad game I've never seen him hide, not try stopping making runs etc. Which could be why some have these off opinions on him. Whereas I love Wellbeck and Rutter but when they've had bad games you forget they're even on the pitch at times

I think his next move should be to Arsenal. A striker who costs a fortune but doesn’t actually score many goals… they seem to have a predilection for that type of player.

It's fair to make the point that Joao Pedro was made captain, if just for one game. That doesn't fit the moody bad boy narrative.

Also, his action in the Forest shoot out of running down and consoling Hinsh, suggests a player with leadership skills.

Let's see what happens with the Spurs game. But with Gruda's performance last night, the succession is in place

Although it is rare, sometimes a player does miss a match (or a few) for "personal reasons" which are 100% genuine. I know we typically assume that there has been a bust-up or internal discipline issue, or player has downed tools trying to force a move, and usually something is going on.

For example, Khadija "Bunny" Shaw (Man City and Jamaican forward), missed Man City's League Cup semi v Arsenal for "personal reasons". It transpired that she had withdrawn for mental health reasons having suffered horrendous racist and misgynistic abuse

No problem if he's played his last game for us - the ending won't be remembered, but his performances and goals in the Europa League will be.

The only thing preventing him being remembered as a legend is that he was only here for 2 years, but we're going to turn a huge profit on him and he'll have an excellent career. A fantastic transfer for all involved and another really positive example to use when trying to convince a young talent to trust us to propel his career to the top.

All the best, JP, and thanks for the goals.

I know they’re not common but I think there’s actually been a few recent ones for FFP reasons, I think Forest, Everton, Villa and Newcastle all did swap/ player plus cash deals in the summer

Plus the way he was trying to incite the home faithful to make even more noise, after he banged in his pen in the Forest shootout.

For me he does still care, and we shouldn't all jump on the bandwagon and presume he is off, just because he was missing from the squad last night. Let's wait and see.

IF he's sulking, wants away, or taking duff advice from his agent, then who in charge of the 'no dickhead policy'? Aren't we supposed to have all the data on this sorta thing. I mean Cucurella, Caicedo, Pedro, Trossard, Sanchez, Andone and Undav all throwing strops and wanting out within their first year or two.

Is this because we are known as a selling club, so if they don't get their move when they want it, they become difficult. I don't recall other similar size clubs having the same issue with players.

Like I say, could be nothing in this but we do have a history of being victims to this sort of behaviour.
Long may that history of being victims continue. That's six players (exclude Pedro) who didn't want to stay, stirred up with a spoonful of disruption, yielding around £260m in the bank. Bloody hell, life 's tough for the club at the moment.

FH name checked him this week as a leader within the group (alongside Dunk, Webster, welbeck, so good company)

Sad ending apparently, lets hope we get decent money for him, I firmly believed he was going to run Mark Lawrenson close as the greatest player to ever pull on a blue and white shirt.
