I'm excited for next year with a settled Gruda, Minteh and Wieffer, adding Ferdi etc into the mix as well. We really do have an exciting young team. With that comes the inconsistencies which I appreciate can frustrate some but the bigger picture looks so good.

We played really well. I'm not saying that just because we won. We actually passed the ball well and with purpose more than usual. Defensively some insecure and immature decisions, but overall good performance.

Before anyone does the usual "It's the games against Southampton, Ipswich, Leicester that cost us", I know, but for Hurzeler's first season to include a double over United, wins against Liverpool, Chelsea (twice) and Newcastle (twice) and to draw both games against "the Champions in any other season" Arsenal is a very impressive return.

Add to that and we're only a win v Spurs away from equalling RDZs best ever points total
Yep.
We have been great all season.
8th would be our second best ever finish in our entire history.
Not plucky.
Amazing football.
Much more fun to watch than Palace.
Fewer trophies than Wigan and Pompey and Palace.
I would rather be us.
Always and forever.

I agree with you. But we did get 62 points in RDZ's season, one more than we can reach this year. Which is interesting in itself - we could get only one point fewer, but end up two places lower.

I'm happy that we can't finish lower than 10th - becoming a proper Top-10 team now, three out of the last four seasons, and last year wasn't far off.

Mitoma the game changer tonight. Gruda with an outstanding performance too.
Estupinan composure had me worried last 5.
Wieffer another very good performance. One of Ayari's best too.
I seem to have spent all of added time screaming at Pervis, but fair play he didn't f**k up!
