Absolute crap.
Is it though? I’m being very honest here. How can we go on and on about our recruitment/project when, again being completely honest, we’ve never had a striker as good as Mateta, never had any attackers as good as Eze, Olise and (be honest) Zaha, never a fullback as good as Munoz and obviously, never won a major trophy? How can that possibly be disputed? It may not be a popular opinion, but it’s based on facts.

Even in the league table, they finished third once, compared to our sixth place finish. Yes, they’re an incredibly jammy team right now, who often get the rub of the green, but this goes back to the ‘Spursy’ thread that was on here a few weeks ago. They have a killer, big game instinct that we don’t. I don’t know where that comes from, and yes they’ve lost finals before, but the more and more I think about it, it’s just comes down to an intangible club ‘DNA’. Just look at that playoff semi all those years ago if you need proof.

And there’s nothing we can do about that. Maybe it’s best to have an ‘eyes on your own paper’ situation, but it’s undeniable that there’s a massive rift between the two clubs, regardless of our recent trajectory, which has been excellent and isn’t dampened whatsoever by their achievements. To quote a gormless former manager, “It is what it is”, but it’s frankly foolish to deny that the gap exists and probably will do for a few decades to come

Really dark day for the Albion.

Even winning the League Cup is not enough anymore.

We will need to win the FA Cup, or something in Europe. We could be waiting a long time. It might never happen at all. ☹️

Yep. Ended our season. Biggest day in their history.

Comparison is the thief of joy. We just need to accept that we are not as good as they are and move on.

You are a complete bell end, if anyone ever asks why our support and atmosphere at The Amex is shite it’s because of “so called supporters” like you. No pride no fuckin passion.

First action - check my Ladbrokes account to check my winnings following the most predictable outcome of the season. 20% possession! Second action - Liverpool tickets listed, and I won’t be the only one.

Okay, maybe it’s quite raw now given very recent events, but if you disagree with the points I’ve raised then specify such disagreements and then we can go from there. Believe me, this gives me no pleasure whatsoever
Can't be bothered to answer anything that quoted a league finish of over thirty years ago. There is so much to argue with your negative post that it's not worth it. And in truth that is not the same club in any case.

It's shite because our home fans are shite. Full of plastics and tourists. Palace fans in their defence create good atmospheres at crucial times which undoubtedly contributes to their success.

We collectively need to do more to be the 12th man. Even though their ultras are cringe - they will certainly be the 12th man at times.

Hope all you anti-City dickheads on here who wanted this today are happy that you got what you wanted. A Palace win we will NEVER hear the end of, and one that ends our season. Neither club had ever won anything - until now.

Enjoy the summer, and watching THEM in Europe.
Im anti Man Sh1ty BUT not when they need to stop CP winning and our chance of Europe. Surely anyone that wanted MC to lose cannot be a BHA fan.

Yes indeed.

Palace rivalry trumps 'for the good of football' every time, especially in a Cup Final when silverware is on the line.

Okay, fine, we’ll leave it there. It’s a very negative post, I can recognise that. But honestly I don’t think anything I said is untrue. But yes, let’s stop this discussion, because I really don’t like making any points in their favour
