Sydney .
Not a chance 60 needed for 8th, more likely 56, max 57 with our GD.
That’s exactly how the Spread Markets see it.
Nothing in it it , 8th spot is still very much up for grabs.

whilst the relegation tracker (more pessimistic by nature) thinks 12th.
I don’t understand this comment. As you’re applying the same rules to all the teams why should the relegation tracker be more pessimistic about us relative to the other teams round about us in the league?

Bit lost with all the permutations now - but if Palace win the FA Cup (which I wouldn't put it past them doing), do we need to be 7th?
Yes. The now quite possible scenario that Palace win the FA Cup and we suffer the double blow of them keeping us out of Europe whilst they waltz into the Europa League.

Slight improvement after Bournemouth failed to beat lowly Man Utd. Surprising. West Ham battling with Man Utd and Spurs for the bottom of the real league.

Down to 11th, but importantly still ahead of Palace. Just

This graph really should be put in front of all the moaners.

Yes we haven't quite reached the successes of that remarkable Potter made/RDZ icing on the cake season, but it's still going to be our second best season ever. Under a new young and learning manager with the youngest squad in the Premier League. Quite remarkable.

Interesting is the 60 point target. With Forest likely to make 64 today, that puts Villa in 7th on 63 but guaranteeing all top 7 a European slot.
It's just that 8th looking for someone to fill it, unless Palace do the unthinkable.
BUT even Sir Gary on MotD last night couldn't explain the 'what if' Chelsea win the Conference. There would be no Conference slot next season?

He (or rather a researcher) did explain it: only applies if Chelsea win Conference and fall out of top 5. They qualify for Europa and England has 3 teams in Europa and none in Conference.
