Defence has fallen to bits through injuries, plus Verbruggen doesn’t command at all and Estupunian’s defensive game is nowhere near the best in the PL. Hopefully the club address this in the summer. MOTD commented on the amount of goals we’re conceding in every game.

Thankfully more than made up for at the other end today.
Yep. I think we genuinely need to sign first team ready right, left and centre backs in the summer.

Estupinan is a weak link, we need an upgrade. Can’t blame injuries there, he’s been fit nearly all season but just really poor.

I can’t see Bart getting a big move this summer with his form this season so hopefully he’ll develop and improve and be a better player for us next season.

I think it’s clear Pervis is playing because there is literally nobody else fit with PL experience who can play the role. Everyone can see he’s not playing that well. It’s a long old season and he runs - constantly. He has over 2,000 of minutes behind him this season, and runs huge distances every game, with the highest number of sprints in the squad per 90 minutes.

In an ideal world he’d be rotated out by now for either Ferdi or Lamptey or Igor, who has also filled in there a couple of times. Ferdi in particular is going to be like having a new player next season, and filled a very similar box to box attacking left back role for Fenerbache.

Another huge error by him. At least he made two saves, most errors in the league now with todays one bringing him to 5.

The secondary effect of injuries is that fit players end up playing more than they should and/or play with niggles etc.

We know what he is capable of, maybe there are reasons he is a bit below par at the moment.

I wouldn't be replacing him yet, get more cover in defence so he can rest and/ or get fully fit.

The more you watch that Kudus goal the worse it gets. Lots of players to blame for that one, but oh, that pea roll finish straight at him…

With the Turkish laddie back fit that will be like a new signing straight away.

Yes, agreed, he gives a lot to the team with his running. Also, we don't know what the coaching is, maybe he's told to get forward all the time - hard to do both attack and defend well.

I’m not so sure - definitely a superb keeper in there. He was phenomenal against us the other season and part of a record breaking defence this season.
He did indeed play great against us. But overall he is a hype job. I would take Kelleher over Trafford.
Bart has better potential than both of them.

Alan Nixon has blocked me on Twitter when I queried some of the clueless bollocks he was posting. Writes for the organisation that spreads lies about football fans and hacks the phones of dead childred, so no loss there.

He was described by another journalist as the type of bloke who sidles up to you in the pub and whispers out of the side of his mouth conspiritationally.

I can imagine that big clubs are looking at him. However, when there's some substance to a move, it won't be a hack like Nixon breaking the news.

Is it a good time for him to go to Real Madrid and sit on the bench week in, week out? Can't see how it helps his development - he's still very young in goalkeeping terms. Could well lose his place in the Netherlands team to Flekken if he's not playing regularly, which wouldn't be great in a World Cup year.

But, you know, Real Madrid and lots of money. Possibly depends on the type of agent he's got and whether there's a long term plan.

Bart is even younger but so is Real’s Lunin to be fair.
