Sussex 80/2, after two wickets in an over. Tom Clark marking the day he received his Sussex county cap, by padding up for a duck

This is usually when Sussex go deep into their shell.
Alsop has to do more than survive for 15 overs, scoring next to no runs.

Edit: One ball later, bye bye Alsop.

They're making a right pig's ear of this

I have to say that Carter is unlucky to be dropped - he looked decent in the first innings against Notts

You could tell Coles was determined to throw his wicket away, from earlier in the over When he had a lazy waft.
As usual, it’s down to Simpson to dig us out of a self-dug hole.

Pitch is quite odd looking. Wouldn't necessarily want to be batting on that in a couple of days.
The way it’s going we’re not going to find out

Coles is young but he is no beginner. This is his sixth season.
That was an appalling approach to the game situation.
He and James Rew were equals not so long ago. Rew is streets ahead of him now.

Been a few years since I last went to the County Ground. Are there any restrictions around what you can take in food and drink wise for a championship game? I know they limit you for T20. Thanks

You can take food and drink in for CC games. Limited to 4x 500ml cans or a 75cl bottle of wine.
What about soft drinks - is there any limit to that or still the 4x500ml?
