I think this one edges that match. If Brighton ladies get 5th they will have finished higher than any mans team, that some record to have, and we have had many more years trying. Baggaley or Bart?
Whilst that's true and would be an excellent achievement being the best outside the top 4, the WSL has only 12 teams, so it's not exactly comparing like with like. (And 6th from 20 under RDZ would still beat 5th from 12, right?)

That said, it's probably best not to compare and enjoy and appreciate both men's and women's games on their own merits.

An outstanding result today for sure with some tremendous strikes.

100% this.
Was about to post the same thing.

Amazing effort by the ladies, great result and a good season.
Looked a good gate.

Once they get back to Brighton who knows, could challenge some of the top teams..
Exciting times.

Well, sure. I was merely disputing your implication that the gents can't score worldies.

To invoke the spirit of dearly Beloved @Justice, if the women don't finish at least 5th with all the money the club have spent, then the season would be a failure.

Yes you could look at it like that, but I would really be interested to know whether the men or the ladies achieved the highest position based on how they both sit in their separate investment leagues respectively.

Until I know that I will count it a draw!

From the manager post match….its catching

On this season: "Sometimes you have to look away from the table and focus on the process. We want to work hard, be tough to play against and today we found our moments. We made it difficult for a world class team."
Honestly think that Dario & Fab might have been talking (a lot). The women’s side have pressed much higher in the last two games and they’ve definitely gone longer - which suits our forwards so much more than pass, pass, pass amongst the centre halves.
