Quite possibly..although they do state clean net zero energy source which won’t go down well! What are the proposed funding sources for a load of these dotted around the country? Calling them clean energy is a bit naughty imo due to the waste they produce.
the funding will come from electric generating companies, same as build wind or any other generation at scale. they'll build them if financially viable, they wont if they aren't. they are clean for purposes of carbon which is the primary issue of the day, though nuclear waste is a problem needs solving part of ongoing research.

there isn't presently a technology that delivers reliable, round the clock grid power to meet our energy demands, without some compromise. if we dont want carbon emissions we have to look at nuclear. lets not make the mistake of disliking something just because Reform have backed it.

I suppose you could argue that during the Brexit campaign the establishment wanted us to vote Remain.

My granddaughter didn't get diagnosed until she was at university, which meant she was allowed extra time to complete her assignments.
The thing about neurodiversity is many people find a way to navigate it quite well, and need only a bit of consideration in certain contexts. Farage is making out people are fishing for benefits.

I didn't get diagnosed till I was 62 (autism). And that was done under the supervision and insistence of Mrs T.
The NHS referred me 2 years ago for some support and nothing has happened.
The diagnosis is important because it helps me avoid the worst of interactions.
I'm fine.

But the thought that others worse than me will be denied help if that shit Farage gets in is maddening.
The man appeals to the bully.
'Just give the kid a good slap, and that will sort out their "autism"'

Assuming funding would come from private investment

Not proven in the application of generating domestic electricity at scale anywhere.

Renewables are proven worldwide, we don't have a decade to play with the climate disaster approaching.

Does someone at Reform have RR shares?
Perhaps but I would like to think those at Rolls Royce know what they are talking about when they claim it's clean

I generally disregard wider unsubstantiated claims by a business that has a vested interest in having its unsubstantiated claims accepted on face value.

This is why we have regulations and regulators who will test whether the claims are true.

The way things in society work is competing interests are moderated by process and this minimizes the change of harm while maximizing benefit.

If Rolls Royce make a claim this can be verified independently. That's how it works.

Who said I disliked it? It can be part of a suite of future ‘greener’ options headed towards net zero, which clearly Reform don’t agree with. The infrastructure needed will likely need financing by increased energy bills in the short term, again something Reform don’t appear to agree with. There appears to be more than a few contradictions in their vague plans for this.

Scrapping net zero and HS2 could in part fund the infrastructure costs of the small nuclear energy hubs

The 1950s.
Someone actually asked Farage which decade he would live in if he had the choice. He immediately replied 'the 1950s'. You can see why from his perspective - far fewer non white faces, women in the kitchen [or bedroom] gay people not visibly existing at all. Keith Richards summed up the 50s best 'I thought we won the war ?'

It’s always amusing when people who vote Reform and voted for Brexit are shocked and butt-hurt when people have the audacity to question their judgment.

You’re voting for things that will make everyone’s life more miserable.

They act like thickos, I’m going to call them thickos.

I don’t apologise if that upsets them.

The common comeback is “well, if you hadn’t written us off as thickos and maybe listened to us, we wouldn’t have had Brexit or Reform”

No. We have Brexit and Reform because thick people vote for stupid things.

It is possible to try and reason (or in some cases not reason) without name calling. Best avoided as it devalues debate and makes a conversation ugly. I don't think I've called someone a thicko since school. Although I may have done.

30 odd % of people in this country are not thickos. Each will have their reasons for voting for Reform. The one reason I do get is the belief the two party system needs a kick. I can't think of any others that I align with.

So he loves most things about the 1950s apart from its politics.
